The lovely @scuba_steveyy took some beautiful (and desperately needed) promo shots of me last week. Thanks Steve for making me look pretty!

Also, thank you @j0rgesanders for letting me borrow the very cool The Exorcist t-shirt and @nosignalnyc for allowing us to shoot in your space <3 by @c0nstructible

Your invitation to meditate through sound, movement, and experience on what sapphic communion on the dance floor could look and feel like is here! Outside of the conventional meaning of this word it is about all relationships that don’t neatly fit into existing norms. It is defined by elusive intimacy, a familiar concept that can exist in night life gatherings, or so we hope. Autumn gives these bonds a pensive, brooding sense of time. It asks what changes, disappears or remains.

We are leaning into a sapphic mood deeply this time, but let us not forget to mention: everyone is welcome! Respect to all that are involved to make and maintain our events is something that we take very seriously! Come prepared to contribute moods and looks, it is a collective effort!

Hybrid Identity is a queer-centered collective, exploring spaces between anything hybrid. This is a shared space—respect and consent come first. Harassment of any kind won’t be tolerated. If something feels off, please find a staff member. Keep the dance floor conversation and phone free, we set up cozy hangout areas just for that. taken in Brooklyn, New York by @c0nstructible

After a year long hiatus, SYNTHBIOSIS returns with its signature lineup of local live electronics punctuated with a DJ set. This time around we have a new home at Bossa Nova Civic Club.

@synthbiosis.nyc founder SEV1 is a live techno artist from NYC. He uses samplers and modular synths to improvise percussive, deep and hypnotic sets.

@janus.rose is a NYC-based producer, dj and hardware electronic artist. A veteran of New York’s electronic music underground, her practice emphasizes modular synthesis, live hardware performance, and leftfield dj sets featuring a club-forward, sophisticated sound palette. Along with Maude Vôs, she is the co-director of Delusional Records, a queer femme-fronted label based in Los Angeles and NYC, and the host of SOFT_RESET, a local party exploring the soft edges of experimental bass and club music.

@c0nstructible is a Brooklyn-based producer and DJ.
Inspired by David Mancuso’s loft parties from New York’s experimental dance scene of the seventies, they aim to curate the noises of early-morning aural hypnotism. Their sets often range from minimal grooves and ambient organic textures to air-thickening psychedelia.
As a producer, their tracks mirror their work as a mathematician, exercising the concepts of geometry and topology to inform their voice. Their releases act as cogitations in sculpting sonic spaces through geometric principles: manipulating the actions, invariance, and transformations of sound.

Another year of @greatbeyondmn has came and went. I am so very grateful to have shared this experience with many people for whom I care so deeply. There is real profundity in dancing with people; that mode of connection is truly mystical and a reason for living. Thank you especially to @stevencentrific and @dustin_zahn for continuing to put on the best festival in the world, and to @tony_surgeon for reorienting my entire brain and perspective on techno. Until next year <3

BUSH DÜF abducts our favorite welterweight sound system within easy reach of the L line for a night of cosmic, colorful and cathartic techno. Led by a cockpit of DÜF debutants who all navigate the hypnotic and progressive with equal aplomb across several disciplines including event organization, live performance, music production and, of course, selection; expect astonishing vistas to animate your midweek with profundity and revelry alike.

Peace Ramen b2b Tsaifan open our evening with their celebrated sensibility for cutting-edge curation. The @nosignalnyc founders are best known for their eponymous mix series, which has since grown into a global platform and local community organizer, but their somatic storytelling is no less dialed in. Anticipate a riveting entanglement of mind and body.

Ben Zo then takes over the decks with his cinematic set construction. The @bushduf organizer has no qualms harmonizing unexpected influences including acid, ambient and even Italo with even the most tunneling of techno. He leads us deeper into the wormhole with a bespoke arrangement of vastly different waveforms.

@threehz leads us to midnight and beyond with their precise yet expressive command of otherworldly rhythms. The @no_dawn_bk resident and @hybrid_identity_ co-architect purveys propulsive, prescient sound with an enlivening intuition for the motherbeat in its many forms. Whether it’s bouncy psychedelia or searing emotionality, anticipate both celebration and introspection from this local rarity.

@c0nstructible concludes our occasion with their exhilarating attunement toward imaginative worldbuilding. They land us on a planet fit for home with their virtuosic mixing of both velocity and veneration. Expect celestial and terrestrial soundscapes from the final debutant of both party and venue till the fog and floor must clear.

After some ticketed events, we’re back to a classic humpday shindig with free RSVPs on RA. So, be sure to come early, stay late, and, as always, spend liberally. taken in Jupiter Disco by @c0nstructible

My birthday is coming up and to celebrate we have a very special selection of artists for you this fine Thursday evening at one of my favorite places in the world. <3

Opening up the evening we have Valentin Lamar @valentinlamar, a New Jersey–born/NYC–based selector of the underground scene. His approach is rooted in timeless sound and the art of taking movement somewhere restorative and unexpected. He threads deep, psychedelic, and groovy currents into fluid, open-format journeys shaped by tech house, dub pressure, and funk-drenched rhythm - without limits.

Keeping the energy through the middle of the night, we have Brooklyn-based J.N.R. @jessnellrob. She grounds her obsession with discovering new sounds in 15 years of classical training and endless hours spent on the dance floor. She brings both precision and playfulness to her sets, infusing foundational influences with fresh energy.

Closing it down, we have Felix M. @c0nstructible. The new alias is a move towards a more tonal, groovy, and funky sonic signature. Seeking to put modern cuts in conversation with old school classics, Felix M. will debut their take on the evolution of progressive sounds.

Excited to see you all there, stay cool, stay hydrated, and see you Thursday ;) taken in Western Beef by @c0nstructible
