Most leaders can name what is adding complexity to their business. Few have a process for deciding what to remove.

This month's C12 curriculum features Juliet Funt's Spin Launcher, a five-step framework for strategic reduction: generate a list of everything you wish you could stop doing, separate what you can control from what you cannot, evaluate what remains against how closely it supports the mission, eliminate what falls short, then liberate your team by acting on the decision.

The framework works because it ends in a decision. A specific list with owners and deadlines turns frustration about being busy into action.
