Pulled this straight from the FDA — I didn't believe it either.

"Not every product marketed as soap meets FDA's definition of the term."

Soap has a legal definition: mostly alkali salts of fatty acids, made from oils and lye. Detergent-based bars don't meet it.

Ours is the slow way. Cured for weeks, not minutes.
