Can we have a champagne toast?🥂

This isn’t a regular champagne toast. I don’t want to toast to simply earning the degree. I want to toast to the journey it took to get here.

A journey filled with long nights, sacrifices, uncertainty, growth, laughter, pain, heartache, and blessings. Four years of learning not only in the classroom, but in life. Four years of pushing forward even when things felt heavy. Four years of proving to myself that I was capable, resilient, and worthy of every opportunity placed in front of me.

I want to toast to the people who believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself. To the lessons that strengthened me. To every setback that tried to break me but instead built my character. To every tear cried in private and every silent prayer whispered during difficult moments.

I am a blessing. I am living proof that determination, faith, and perseverance can carry you through even the hardest seasons. by @c3cil.white

Letter From ShellshoKK

My journey into KappaLand was far from easy, but I wouldn’t expect anything less when joining a Noble Klan like Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorparated.

My dad questioned why join such a organization, but as long as I understood why, there was no need to give an explanation. I’m not only a first generation graduate, but also the only member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fratenity, Inc. In my family. Which means there was no legacy to follow but one to create & im blessed to say this organization is apart of my legacy.

“We the willing led by the unknown are doing the impossible for the ungrateful WE HAVE DONE SOO MUCH WITH SOO LITTLE FOR SOO LONG WE ARE NOW QUALIFIED TO DO ANYTHING WITH NOTHING SIR”

Kurrency, my 10 equal parts, ShellshoKK would be nothing without y’all. ShellshoKK going all the way to the golden shores about yall. My family, my brothers, what we did for BQ could never be undone.

Beta Omega, where the Quality is uncompromised. Our Klarity is Sakred. Our Katalyst is inevitable. Our Konvergence unstoppable. My undergraduate days maybe done but the work isn’t, thank you for welKoming me with open arms.

Yours in the Bond,
Cecil White

As the smoke clears, I recognize that the finish line is near.

I am becoming the person I was meant to be, someone who breaks barriers for those who look like me. I am the first in my family to earn a four-year degree, setting the pace and refusing to accept limitations.

Where I come from, progress does not come from waiting. It comes from being proactive, from taking initiative, and from trusting your ability to create opportunity. The key to doing this successfully is remaining true to your authentic self.

My journey continues!
