Ever since I started working seriously with clay, I found myself drawn to the idea of my art as a canvas paired with beautiful food. • I dreamed of working with talented chefs, artists in their craft, in concert - each meal a new conversation, a new dance, a new story told in texture, line, color, and flavor. • That's what I especially love about my work so far with @harolds_fortmyers and @zachgeerson - it's not just art. It's an experience that shifts with each brand new idea in the kitchen. It's fresh, it's immersive, it's sensorial. • The difference between eating or drinking from a handmade, small batch vessel or plate and something that is mass-produced is immediately obvious (to me, at least). It's this difference that elevates a simple meal into a tactile and emotional memory. • That said, it's probably time for you to make some memories. These wall sculpture pieces were a personal study in creating beauty out of chaos. • Each element was thrown on the wheel, made out of reclaimed trimmings and failures, rehydrated and lazily wedged back into usable clay. The result was a barely homogenized clay throw session, wobbly and intentionally chaotic. • A former version of myself would have struggled with the deliberate imperfection and lack of full control that today's me embraced. • Surprisingly, scribbled carvings were joyful instead of tense. I'd like to think that it's a reflection of the freedom that I'm now finding in getting over myself, a little bit more everyday. taken in Fort Myers, Florida by @c3studioart

The past few weeks have brought exciting challenges and fresh stories to translate into clay. • It has been such a joy to work with Corrine and Veljko, the masterminds behind @sailsnaples , @omasavanaples , and Butcher Private, as well as their incredibly talented chefs, to create art as vessels for the extraordinary culinary experiences they are curating. • What an absolute dream to hear and interpret their vision into shapes and forms -- canvases to tell their stories. • I am so looking forward to seeing these pieces in action.
