Big planes and small planes, trains, boats, ferries, helicopters, bicycles, SUV's-2 months and a 6000km roadtrip across New Zealand crossing both islands. I am still searching for the words for your love letter landscape. Jurassic, silent fjords, blinding snow capped mountains, menacing volcanoes, turquoise-cracked blue glaciers, transparent crystal rivers and streams, bursting chaotic waterfalls everywhere, roaring sapphire seas, double rainbows and more rainbows,golden grassed rolling hills, shotgun-star blasted nighttime skies with the Southern Cross hanging, tattooed in place. Elusive Kiwis, tiny blue penguins and boisterous acrobatic seals and birdsong that brings tears to your eyes. Oh and sheep. Lots of them. But the best part. The people. The most generous spirited and good humored Kiwis. Back home and still dreaming of the ancient walled red Medina and the labyrinthine alleys of the frantic souks and arabesques and tessellations. It's all a spectacle of color drenched treasures, sun baked textures, dark glossy eyes peering through niqabs and the exotic parts of Africa unknown to me. The memory of smells of tanning leather, wafting jasmine, mint tea mixed with diesel. The beauty of bartering with the Imazighen and settling the deal with a smile. The beautiful and gentle people who welcome you, share their craft and cuisine and customs with pride. It's a place that makes you feel most alive and present-part of a world that doesn't exist before or after you. A place of extreme and colorful chaos- and then there's a call to prayer, the Adhan, and the melodious voice of the Muezzins echoing from the mosque minarets that renders you reverent and silent. This wild Northeastern coast of Spain filled with its rugged deep blue waters and burnt sienna colored cliffs, whitewashed fisherman villages and ochre colored medieval towns is something from a real life fairy tale. The gentle quiet ‘Sa Roqueta’..the first place in Spain where the sun rises and sets,more beaches than Mallorca and Ibiza combined, more prehistoric structures and the highest density of prehistoric sites of anywhere in the world, home to the second largest natural harbor in the world and the birthplace of mayonnaise…such an unforgettable and mesmerizing place with fireball sunsets and glitter-like glistening seas.Tender warm days that move at the pace of another time. ✈️ 🚆 🚘 to celebrate the fabulously elegant Mr & Mrs George @chateauladurantie in France…5 days filled with love & festivities, old dear friends and new friends. Never have I experienced such a weekend where the wine & conversation flowed so freely, the food was exquisitely prepared, the settings were breathtaking and the love and excitement were palatable..and the best part was watching the ease and grace of the most stunning bride @elizabethinpink

All the way to Nagano to see this Buddhist temple Zenko-ji, which dates back to 642. It is said this is where the first Buddha statue appeared in Japan.
