The @barbiethemovie was incredible!!! I’ve watched it four times now lol and I still cry in so many moments. I learn so many important topics throughout the movie. Yes, Barbie was a toy and was introduced as a teenage fashion model, but she was also an aspirational doll for girls to become independent confident career goal driven women. While at the same time Barbie can still be in touch with her feminine side and get married and have children if she so chooses. It is all about autonomy. I enjoy all the characters and my favorite line would have to be the character Ruth Handler saying to Barbie in her home kitchen, “We do more than just work here.” That line reminds me of every woman I know, my mom, my sisters, female cousins, aunts, nieces, friends and co-workers who bring into their work a touch of humanity, care, and love for what they do in every moment of their lives. Go @barbie @barbiestyle!!! 💖💖💖💖#mattel #barbie #christie #kira #fashion #feminism #womenempowerment #womensrights #doll #dolls #dollstagram #barbiethemovie by @c_bangus
