San Francisco-based producer and selector Clearcast has quickly established themselves as one of the West Coast’s most exciting rising talents in UK bass and breakbeat culture. Fresh off opening for Fred Again in San Francisco, the artist has shared stages with Skrillex, Overmono, Ben UFO, The Blessed Madonna, A.G. Cook, Sammy Virji, Mall Grab, Interplanetary Criminal, 100 Gecs, DJ Seinfeld, Sega Bodega, and Chloe Robinson.

Leaning heavily into NUKG and tenebrous UK bass, Clearcast’s sound sits at the intersection of breakbeat bangers and introspective euphoria, with dreamy soundscapes and bright melodies pulled from internet electronica and experimental dance music, drawing from both underground warehouse culture and forward-thinking production aesthetics. Their live sets pull from a growing discography of smartly-arranged originals and SoundCloud edits, defined by glistening textures, ricocheting vocal melodies, and an instinct for balancing raw energy with emotional depth.

Releases have garnered support from Disclosure, G Jones, Salute, Conducta, and Camoufly, with tracks landing on UK labels Locked On, fourbyfour, and Duckland, as well as Tabula Rasa Records. “Heroine” with WTRGRL received airplay on Mary Anne Hobbs’ BBC Radio 6 show and coverage in Wonderland Magazine, while “Crash and Fall” with Psykh featured on Tabula Rasa’s compilation tape “Here and Now.” taken in Wellington, New Zealand by @c_bia5

OUT NOW : key asc - ‘Totally Re-Wired’
For this remixes EP, five artists have set out to reshape the key asc ecosystem. Gillielove, manao, Steel Traxx, TTristana and Current Bias take the original tunes and transform it shifting the spectrum towards their own distinct dimensions : aquatic dub, deconstructed bass, high-tension breaks, corrosive dance and textural ambient. What the original EP presented as a hybridisation to the club becomes here a land for a reinterpretation, built on the same architecture but with a different philosophy.

Just in time for the end of Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa 2026 - The remixes for my album Simulacra are out in the world today - a thousand blessings goes to @ayalunaisonline , @caru_xo , @c_bia5 , @eeree.mimic_ and @kultiv.wav for their remixes. I am still blown away by the fusions they have produced of my original tracks and their dynamic and production unique styles. This is a big milestone for me having five great producers come together on a project to remix my music!

Current Bias is a producer/dj originally from Boorloo Booja (Perth, Western Australia) now resident in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Aotearoa (Wellington, New Zealand).
They have a string of releases on Bandcamp and Soundcloud and have contributed to labels such as Related Articles, Racquet Club, The Big Fresh Collective, acoldplace, Juke Bounce Work, Strange Behaviour and a contribution to Tautoko Gaza, a compilation initiative to help raise funds to go towards Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), an NGO working to support growing critical health needs resulting from Israel's ongoing bombardment and complete siege on Gaza whilst too releasing a VIP of track “State Smasher’ proceeds too going to MAP, UNRWA, and Save The Children's Gaza Emergency Appeal.
C.Bias was a resident radio dj for the Homebass show on RadioactiveFM between 2019-2024, co-hosted with DJ Lever every six weeks for 4 years. Alongside the past radio slot they have released mixes out on the musical platforms ACOLDPLACE, Friendly Potential, Related Articles, Terra Incognita, and Third Party Radio
