There is a certain week every year where the air changes and I do not notice it until I am already outside, and this was that week. I have never quite worked out why fall does that to me, but the light gets lower and everything I have written starts sounding more honest than it did in July. So here is Peace of Mind in full, visualizer and all. It is a song about holding on to something when holding on is the expensive choice, which is more or less what the last couple of years have felt like. I am going to be living with this one out loud here for a while. If you have been around a while, thank you, sincerely. If you are new, come along on the journey with me.

This visualizer was filmed, directed, and edited by @parrish_s . I wanted this visualizer to feel like a Wes Anderson movie, which he nailed. It’s beautiful and simple. I’m extremely grateful for his efforts on this video, especially while he was in the middle of editing his first feature length film @longdrivetoyadkin . If you have a couple of minutes, go check out his project to see how you can support independent films like his. Also, shout out to @carminblack for letting me film in her house!

You can stream this song on all platforms today, just go to the link in my bio. You can also read about the story behind the song on my blog, which is also in the link in my bio.

Much love my friends 🍂

“Abide” by @aaronwilliamsmusic // I have the privilege of playing live with Aaron a few times a year. This song is always one of my favorites to play. So many great truths in this song (and a killer groove!) I’m smiling a lot in this video because I have a small window into the room next to me and I’m watching my 5 year old daughter dance to my drumming the entire time. Her dancing gave me the juice I needed 💃🧃🙌🏽 by @c_black89

I spent the past week in Nashville, writing, rehearsing and recording drums for @aaronwilliamsmusic’s new live album.

What an experience! Incredibly honored to have played a part in making this album happen. Genuinely believe that these songs will bless the church in the new year.

Thank you @integritymusic for having me! Thank you @aaronwilliamsmusic for believing in me and @aaronrobertsonmusic for pushing me and challenging me. taken in Franklin, Tennessee by @c_black89
