Who else cooks like me!? I get an idea, look at a few recipes on Pinterest to get a general ingredient list and go from there. This worked on the first try!

We love @wholefoods and got all the ingredients there for Cajun Chicken Pasta. Y’all, this lasted 3 nights and got better every day!

Shopping List 🛒

Yellow onion
2 green bell peppers
Green onion
Extra virgin olive oil
Cajun chicken sausage
Chicken breast
Flat leaf parsley
Half and half (can use heavy cream)
Chicken stock
Cajun seasoning
Salt + pepper
Smoked paprika
Dried parsley
Parmesan cheese
Penne pasta

I eyeballed the sauce and it was a little too thin so I added a little flour and pasta water. Next time, I will probably use heavy cream instead of half and half. This saved so much money for dinner 3 nights this past week! Just heat and eat!

I don’t know about you, but picking out a paint color can be a challenge! In the 4 houses I’ve lived in, I can say I’ve only picked out two that were not it.

Recently, we went on vacation and I fell in love with a color I saw but it did not work in our bedroom. Thankfully, this color works beautifully!

We chose Felted Wool by @sherwinwilliams and I gotta say it is one of my all time favorite colors. It’s exactly what I was hoping for!

Have you ever picked out a paint color that just did not work? Let me know in the comments or share some of your favorites! We still have a carriage house to paint and I could use some ideas 💡

In our neighborhood, the houses first built often feature a keeping room off the kitchen. We have not used the areas that way, opting in both houses to use them as an extension of the kitchen. There are so many possibilities! Here are views of how we are using it now in our current house.

In the last few houses we’ve lived in, we have been able to use our existing furniture. The furniture is a mix of Facebook marketplace finds, antiques, as well as local small shops, Pottery Barn and Ballard Designs pieces.

Here’s a few views of how it flows in the living room/entry and dining room downstairs.

Where do you like to shop for furniture? Do you keep pieces for a while or like to change things up? by @c_c_renovation
