Spotlight on Music, 4/21/26
“Light in the Hallway” - Pentatonix

“For today’s spotlight, which happens to be my last, I’ve decided to divert from the usual voice major solo altogether with something I felt would benefit others way more. This song has been with me for just about as long as I’ve been doing music, and comforted me through various phases and trying times. We share it with you today with only the hopes that it’ll do the same for you. Something you may notice is the lyrics are mainly that of a children’s lullaby. Simple, yet profound. We highly encourage you to take what you need from them. Take a moment, think, meditate, take a 4 minute nap if you need. We will have been honored as musicians if you come out of this piece feeling even just slightly more at rest than you did before.“

“we might as well know the worst of each other if we are to become friends”

the love i have for this show is very different than what i’ve felt for shows before. to begin with (wink), it was a performance challenge beyond anything i thought i was capable of, and it definitely took some convincing of myself that i was right for this role. i always continue to open new doors as a performer with every show i do, but this was a whole new world of things to learn, and this show took literal blood sweat and tears to fully grasp. it is a love with so so much work and newfound pride behind it. i haven’t felt this strong as a performer in quite some time, and you all best believe there will be so much good to come out of me in the future after what sherlock holmes has given me.

to every person in the cast, crew and production team, thank you for truly everything. the way you have all gone above and beyond will always be remembered. i am honored to have been your world’s foremost consulting detective :) by @c_charlieee

j a little something i recorded that i found myself to be more proud of than expected and wanted to share :)

+ was again reminded yesterday that through everything and anything, music is always there. it’s kind, it’s welcoming, and it’s a safe place to be for awhile, and i feel particularly grateful to be making it every single day

54 below: punk goes broadway 💚🖤

a dream come true like nothing else, i honestly still can’t believe this is a caption i’m even typing. you watch videos of every actor and performer you’ve ever loved and respected perform on a stage like this and hopelessly yearn to be there, and suddenly there’s high resolution photos (massive credit to @kadejoyphotography ) of you singing on that very stage you’ve dreamed about for years. singing the most badass music EVER. an experience i will cherish always.

thank you @underbellytheatreco for the most beautiful opportunity to showcase myself in a way i really don’t get to enough, and being the most delightful, spirited, and unfathomably talented people to work with. so much love for absolutely everyone on stage and in the audience 🫶
