“Everybody wants to be great until they see the invoice”

I didn’t know exactly what this journey would look like, but I knew it would require a lot of sacrifices. I also knew who I wanted to work with in pursuit of this question of “what would the greatest version of me look like on the field?” and the only soccer trainer I had in mind for this was @c_deezy_
Thank you for being you, because it’s creating the best version of me. You’ve helped me fall in love with this sport and this process in an entirely different way. You hold me to a higher standard while having grace and patience through my mistakes. Locked in when it’s time to work but cracking jokes and hitting dance moves when the timer goes off. You encourage creativity but also emphasize consistency. You’re there to listen when my head isn’t there and help me manage my emotions so it doesn’t effect my performance. And your belief in me is so high that it motivates me on days when I’m struggling.
It’s rare to find someone who pours into you as much as they push you. You’ve inspired me not just as a player, but as a person, a coach, and a mentor. I know we’ve still got plenty of work to do and our time together isn’t done quite yet, but I’m incredibly grateful to have more than just a trainer in my corner. Thank you for your mentorship and guidance and for coming alongside me in this journey of pursuing greatness 🙏🏽
