Back when the world shut down in 2020, I didn’t stop. I turned inward, I turned the silence into sounds. ‘Samples of Life’ Directed , Produced and Narrated. Just me, alone in my room, sampling life, crafting music that felt like therapy. Shot before and during the pandemic, it wasn’t polished, it was necessary. We won ‘Best Cinematography and Best Storytelling at Hollywood Gold Awards (2022). Screened and honored at Silver Room Block Party Film Festival (2023).

If you’re new here, this is the origin: my first real dive into creation. Before any tracks hit the airwaves, before I gauged the culture’s pulse—I was learning my sound, building my voice from scratch. Been under the media microscope since I was 17 years old having being named the number 1 WR in the nation. The NFL came next, then injuries followed shortly after, five surgeries, dreams deferred. But I refused to fade. In 2016, I walked into Sam’s Club, bought my first camera: a Canon 80D. Fifteen hundred dollars, zero experience. Just faith and belief in self. That same faith that got me to NFL despite the setbacks. From there? I taught myself — frame by frame, cut by cut. Now I’m directing, starring, scoring , telling stories only someone who’s lived it can tell. Film and music aren’t separate; they’re blood. Been quiet as of late, Fathering , wrapping up EVOLVE but this? This is the root. Full film in bio. Alan Watts said life was never supposed to be a race to the finish. It’s music. You’re supposed to dance while it plays.

So I direct where the music actually lives. In this house. Golden light through the window, little feet on the floor, my girls as the whole cast and my wife as the whole reason.

Most of my sets have call sheets. This one just has presence. No second takes on these years, so I keep the camera close and the moments closer.

Being a father is the production. Everything else I make is just behind the scenes footage.

My second act has been the most fulfilling part of my life.

I know that surprises people. But for so long, my ecosystem thought the NFL was the highlight of my life - the peak of the mountaintops, my the whole story.

But football was never the destination. It was only a vehicle - the one God allowed me to drive, faithfully, until the wheels came off and I crashed out. It carried me exactly where I was always meant to arrive. I didn’t always follow Gods plan throughout my life, I leaned on my own understanding and let my circumstances dictate faiths and beliefs. Often times I was using my own GPS wondering why I didn’t have no signal as if I’m using MAPS while being on Lower Wacker downtown Chicago wondering why my car in a lake. He’s carried me and the ✝️ throughout this journey to get to this final destination.

You just watched me name the hats I wear but for so many years they lived in separate rooms.They’ve finally married into one and have allowed me to cultivate and curate spaces like this.

EVOLVE is that ascension. This that Dragonball Z Gohan and Android 16 moment before Cell takes his life and he says to Gohan, “Gohan, let it go. It is not a sin to fight for the right cause... it is because you cherish life that you must protect it... DROP YOUR RESTRAINTS. Protect the life I loved”. Your witnessing an ascended warrior who’s experiences has shaped and molded me to be here in front of you. This the destination I was driving toward my whole entire life.

Greatness was never the game. Greatness is this….EVOLUTION
