Dear Baseball,

It’s hard to believe that it over. Almost every day since I was little I’ve played with that white leather ball with the red laces. This journey has been incredible. I’m deeply grateful for everything. Baseball was my first love and nothing will ever replace it. Baseball is a game of failure that taught me many lessons. It pushed me to be my best, not just for myself but for my teammates. Baseball taught me to be a better teammate, a better leader, and a better friend. I’ll never forget throwing water after a big win, partying on the bus/locker room, and being with my boys everyday. These moments are priceless. I know we were so close and it didn’t work out, but I’m glad I got the opportunity to spend it with my boys.

I want to thank my teammates who took the field with me. I want to thank the coaches who believed in me and gave me a chance. I want to thank all the fans and families who showed up to every game, no matter what. Y’all were always there and y’all made it special. Finally, I want to thank my parents. Thank you for giving me the love for the game. The passion y’all shared rubbed off on me and made me appreciate it that much more. I will cherish the long car rides to tournaments, the trips to driveline, the conversations about my approach and how I can be the most productive, and all the sacrifices y’all made for me to play the game. I am forever grateful and I love y’all.
