This summer marks my 10th year of camp twin lakes partner camps 🫶🏽

Camp started out for me as @siblings_forever_ga and went on for 7 summers, one week every year. Not including all the planning, fundraising, co- assistant directing, co- directing, spreading the word to anyone that would listen, talking about my campers (nonstop), board calls,hanging out with my friends I made while being a counselor, thinking about my kids in the off season, all the happy tears and crying all the sad tears. I’m forever thankful my own siblings didn’t think I was crazy and allowed me to convince them to start their own journeys in the camp world with CTL and other partner camps 🫶🏽

Next camp was my two season of @camptwinlakes which lead me down a rabbit hole of so many other groups I got to experience. This opened a door of opportunities for me in the CTL relm where I truly became the master of camper connections.

Soon after/ during that time @spectrumautismsupportgroup (camp journey) and @camptwitchandshout welcomed me in and I’m so thankful for both of those experiences and their leadership teams. I’m so very lucky to be in the spot I’m in now to reflect on how my life was changed all because I decided to fill out an application at 4am one night. I hope all of my campers know I cared for them as if they were my own kids and will forever go on to refer to them as “my kids” whether or not we saw each other ever again. I’m unbelievably thankful for the way camp helped me grow as a person and As Lynn price would say it’s the power of the ripple 🫶🏽 by @c_synclair
