The street art I’ve been able to see here is wonderful. Really wish I could wander around and see more.

Also, went to Giordano’s. Place was nice, service was great. The old fashions were a little sweet, but good. But this just solidified the fact that I am absolutely a New York style pizza guy to my core. by @cabbit17

Fun little tid-bit I learned at the meeting so far: the FDA uses the data gathered through COG studies in considering approval for cancer treatments for pediatric oncology. 🙂

My flight from Augusta was delayed for 3 hours so I was not able to visit the surgical museum or any of the other locations I was interested in. I did wander aimlessly a bit along the riverwalk, though. Checked out the Hello Kitty Cafe and The Shake Shack later in the evening.

Hopefully I’ll be able to sneak in some time for the museum. But even if not, this city is pretty lovely. by @cabbit17

From My Nightmares #2: The Blood Star (circa 2016 and still kicking)

My second nightmare piece for the show. He's....complicated. He's been "in" my dreams since about 2016? And it was only strange mentions of him. I didn't see this form of him for years. And it's not even the only form he takes. Sometimes he is just a blood-red star in space. But for years there was this kind of lore being built around him. Poetry, songs, snippets of devotion from his followers.

He still shows up from time to time.

Some of the disturbing shit I remember from dreams:

"As the wicked concoction tore its way down their throats, they cried out in agonized ecstacy.

For they knew, as their flesh and muscle were seared from their bones, their angel was pleased with their gruesome offering.

Their pain was proof.

The Blood Star loved them."
(You do NOT want to know what was in that concoction......)

And him, when contemplating whether he's met "God":
"There was no one there when my conciousness was startled to life by the violent, chaotic expansion of the primoridial void. No all knowing, all powerful entity. No loving creator. Just myself, and others like myself forged under pressure and violence." by @cabbit17

From My Nightmares #1: Mother Mary.

Submission number 1 for this year's Spooktacular art show. She is from a nightmare I had around 2006 ish, but she's never left me. I think about her a lot, and I've always wanted to do some kind of art of her. I honestly haven't really done her justice, because there are a few things I just wasn't sure how to approach. So maybe I will try again later.

But yeah, even though she was like a final boss in a video game, there was something oddly peaceful about her. Her carona-halo was also massively impressive. She was also really calming to illustrate. by @cabbit17
