On Monday, October 26 will be hosting a Parent/Teacher Meeting. This is your opportunity to check in with your child's teacher(s) and learn about resources and opportunities to help your child succeed academically.

Each school will be sharing their plans for the day including schedules and registration procedures, if necessary. Please look for information from your child's school about details and how to be involved.

There will be NO SCHOOL for students on this day to allow for the Parent/Teacher Meetings. by @cabellschools

🏆Milton Middle School BETA Club Earns National Recognition!!!

Eighteen students from the MMS BETA Club qualified at the WV Convention to compete in the National BETA Convention in Nashville, TN! Together, they won FIVE National Awards!!!

We are so proud of the hard work and dedication they've shown to compete AND WIN at such a high level! Congratulations to all the students and the Club and our biggest thanks to their club sponsors!!!

Teachers, need extra funding for a special project, new resource, or guest speaker?

The Cabell County Schools Foundation, Inc. is here to help with Classroom Mini-Grants!

The Foundation fundraises all year to provide mini-grants to teachers in Cabell County Schools to enhance learning experiences for students.

These funds can be used for a myriad of opportunities ranging from special projects and field trips to learning resources and guest speakers.

Up to $500 is available for most projects.

🎉We are gearing up for a GREAT time on Friday, October 2nd as Cabell County Schools kick off Mountain Readers Become Leaders, a statewide literacy event hosted by West Virginia Public Broadcasting!

📖We're excited to host WV author and illustrator Ashley Belote at various events across town including a Ribbon Cutting for Ritter Park's StoryWalk with the Cabell County Public Library and Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District, school visits to Salt Rock and Central City Elementary, and afterschool events at Salt Rock Library and the Huntington Children's Museum.

💙In addition to Ms. Belote, dozens of local leaders will be visiting classrooms across the district to share Little Red and Big, Bad Fred!!! We can't wait to celebrate literacy with our students, neighbors and friends! Thank you to everyone for being a part of this special day for our students! by @cabellschools
