Oh hi, wildfire smoke.

This is Yellowknife on Monday as a plume from ZF085, southeast of the city, rolls across the evening sky. It’s nowhere near the city right now but crews are working on it. taken in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories by @cabinradio

It felt like smoke rolled across Yellowknife in an instant on Monday morning.

It's from ZF085, which is 40 km southeast of Dettah and has been burning for the past five days.

This new fire may make it harder to come by clean air in Yellowknife over the days ahead. Read more on our website.

This shows where the fire burned, on the left, and Behchokǫ̀ on the right. You're looking at the north end of Rae (facing south), with the sportsplex on the far right-hand side.

The image comes from helicopter footage shot on Saturday and credited by the Tłı̨chǫ Government to Grand Chief Jackson Lafferty and Chief Clifford Daniels.

Also included are some images of fire crew members published on Sunday by the GNWT. by @cabinradio
