LIGHTNING STRIKE - From the Fall 2026 Collection.

Lightning does not ask permission. It finds the shortest path through air, wood, and steel, and it writes that path in a single stroke.

This one-of-one Cabot 1911 in .45 ACP begins where every Cabot begins: in the hands of Cabot’s master machinists and gunsmiths, who shape and craft the pistol from American stainless steel.

The architecture is Cabot’s—slide to frame, lockup, trigger, the quiet work that makes a 1911 shoot as if it were born that way.

Only then does the piece leave the shop to become a collaboration among three benches that do not ordinarily share a room: Cabot Guns, casemaker Mark Huston, and FEGA Master Engraver Otto Carter.

The pistol and its presentation piece were conceived as one event. The case is not a box that happens to hold a gun. It is the first surface the strike touches.

Huston began on the open face of live-edge wood. Electric probes were set to the timber and voltage was driven across the grain.

The current did what current does when it is given no straight road: it branched, forked, searched, and burned a Lichtenberg figure into the wood—fern and lightning in the same mark, the pattern a storm leaves when it finds a tree. The live edge was left honest. The figure was left to read as impact, not decoration.

Carter then took the stainless pistol as if it had been standing in that same instant. He engraved Lichtenberg lines into the steel so the discharge would not stop at the wood. The lines travel from the case onto the gun without a break in the story—across the frame and slide, then onto the parts that usually remain untouched: slide stop, thumb safety, mainspring housing, and grip safety. The strike surrounds the pistol. by @cabotguns

Swarm.

Imagine a cloud of high-carbon ball bearings in motion—restless, unbroken, moving as one through the dark. They roll and shift without pause, a living mass of potential held in constant flight, each bearing responding to the others in a pattern that never quite repeats.

Now imagine that swarm arrested mid-flight, its energy redirected rather than extinguished, each bearing stretched and transformed until individual motion becomes collective permanence.

Metal Artist and Master Blacksmith Jason Morrissey did not simply capture them. Through sustained heat, immense pressure, and relentless forging, he elongated the ball bearings and folded them again and again until their individual motion became a singular piece of Damascus steel—one-of-a-kind material that still carries the memory of the swarm. The work required time, force, and a deep understanding of how the steel would respond under the press.

Day after day the material was worked, tested, and refined until the elongated forms settled into a surface that feels alive even at rest. What emerged was not pattern for its own sake, but motion made permanent. by @cabotguns

Another stunning piece from our Fall 2026 OAK Collection - Copper Canyon.

Canyons are not carved in a day. They are layered — band on band, heat on stone, time made visible. Copper Canyon is built in that same language: a unique wide-pattern stainless steel Damascus slide that reads like strata, copper that lives in the hand, and the compact discipline of a bobtail Commander meant to be carried.

The Damascus steel upper is unique to this pistol. Broad bands move with the light the way canyon walls change from morning to late day. It is the first surface the eye meets, and the one it keeps reading.

The grips are solid copper, shaped in curved lines that follow the Fibonacci sequence found in nature. Because the metal is solid, any flame work sits quieter than it would on a thin plate — and that is the point. What the grips do instead is patina. Since the pistol was finished they have already deepened, warmed, and improved. That change will continue. Years of carry and use will mark them further, so the gun in the hand ten years from now will not be the gun photographed today. It will be better for having been held. by @cabotguns

AI can fake an image. It can’t build this.

River of Gold is what happens when you choose craftsmanship over convenience.

More than 20 hours of hand fitting and finishing by Cabot’s skilled gunsmiths. Months of engraving by Richard Quecke, whose decades of experience are visible in every cut, every sculpted ripple, and every gold inlay. This isn’t a digital interpretation of craftsmanship. The craftsmanship is real—and you can feel it in the steel.

Then we built the world around it. Our team spent days constructing a physical set, including a custom rock-inlaid resin water feature inspired by a Japanese koi pond. No generated background. No artificial environment. No shortcut.

Professional photographer Tom Galliher took the images, shaped the lighting, and spent hours editing the photographs to capture the pistol and the world we built around it.

Hundreds of hours of human skill went into this project. Why would we hide that behind a machine?

AI can imitate the appearance of craftsmanship. It can create something that looks handmade. But it doesn’t know what it means to spend decades mastering an engraving tool. It doesn’t feel the resistance of steel beneath a file. It doesn’t build a koi pond set by hand. It doesn’t stand behind a camera searching for the perfect light.

And that’s the point.

We don’t make artificial masterpieces.
We make the real thing.

River of Gold. One of One. Made by human hands.

Vikings Honor. Another stunning One of a Kind pistol from the 2026 OAK collection.

To an elite warrior, Viking’s Honor was currency—earned through bravery, generosity, and the quality of one’s gear. Carrying a finely crafted blade signaled a person of substance and reliable character.

The gilded wolf on the crux of the grip safety is a deliberate nod to Norse mythology—representing a wild, primal presence that is both a menacing danger to foes and a fiercely loyal protector of family.

Topping the muzzle, a solid 24kt gold bead creates a gleaming focal point for the shooter’s eye. The stunning sight picture is completed with the Cabot signature solid 4-billion year old meteorite rear sight. The same meteorite composes the baseplate of the magazine, as this offering elevates even the most basic of shooting elements. by @cabotguns

River of Gold - a One of a Kind Custom, hand engraved 1911.

One of One — Cabot Guns
—
In the quiet current of a Japanese mountain stream, the koi moves against the flow.

Golden scales catch the light like scattered coins.

It does not rest. It does not yield.

It climbs.
—

Hand-engraved by FEGA Emerging Artist of the Year Richard Quecke, the pistol unites Japanese artistic language with uncompromising Western resolve.

Quecke did not merely decorate the steel. He sculpted it. Water and rock were cut away, filed, stoned, and polished by hand with handmade micro files and ceramic stones until the surface became a stepped topography — subtle layers of current and stone that the fingers register as much as the eye. Only after the water was finished did the koi arrive.

Using traditional inlay technique, Quecke relieved the entire field, undercut the walls, and raised a bur field so the precious metal would lock mechanically into the steel. The inlays themselves are large, wrapping over the corners of the slide, then flushed so they follow the sculpted water rather than sit upon it. Multi-gold koi rise across the slide and frame in 14-, 18-, and 24-karat yellow gold, 18-karat rose gold, and .995 fine silver.

Presented in a custom museum-grade ocean-blue case by Master Casemaker S.A. Parker, River of Gold is a one-of-one statement of pure American billet transformed into legend — built for the collector who understands that true rarity is measured in both beauty and will. by @cabotguns

Today we proudly unveiled the Fall 2026 One-of-a-Kind Custom 1911 collection.

There’s an electric variety of pistols that we crafted alongside some of the finest master blacksmiths and FEGA Master Engravers.

We open our celebration of the collection here with Diamond - crafted by Cabot artisans with incredible mosaic Damascus steel by Robert Eggerling.

Diamonds are forever, but the Cabot Guns Diamond 1911 is rarer than any diamond. A gem of a pistol, the Cabot Diamond comprises a limited offering of only two pistols constructed from unique diamond-patterned Mosaic Damascus steel crafted by the Master of All Damascus and American Treasure Robert Eggerling.

While Damascus steel may have origins in the Far East, Mosaic Damascus is a uniquely American artform. We first set eyes on this unique billet of Damascus a couple of years ago, prior to the Master of all Damascus Robert Eggerling’s retirement from his craft.

We have seen and are intimately familiar with Robert Eggerling’s Mosaic designs, and I recall being quite taken by this material while still in its raw state. It has always been a mystery how Robert creates his Mosaic patterns.

Each Mosaic block is very deliberate in design. Somehow, at the age of 88, Robert created something completely new in yet another example of the remarkable creativity of this important American artist. by @cabotguns
