With the end of summer we say goodbye to the vibrancy of the prairie wildflowers, and I find myself dreaming of spring once again. The cool winds of autumn are washing over Illinois, and all I can think about are baby bison and plants sprouting through the thawing earth. Though, the fiery orange and yellow vista of fall in the Midwest is exciting as well. 🦬🍂

Ummm I went back and refreshed my springtime pattern collection 😝😝 I wanted this project to be much larger at the time I started it, but now that I have the time and space to play with my designs more, I knew now was my chance. There are a handful of new patterns in different colors, and of course the new hero of the collection, my spring prairie patchwork.

I was lucky enough to catch the fall festival at Nachusa grasslands this past weekend and join a guided bison tour where I got to learn more about these incredible animals and talk to so many prairie restoration professionals and enthusiasts. I'm so lucky to have a place like that to connect with, and I know I wouldn't be the person I am if I hadn't grown up with it as a resource. Thank you Nachusa, thank you to the Nature Conservancy, and thank you to all the volunteers there and around the country who maintain these spaces.

Finally sharing this little friend I made last year as a companion piece to my space cat!! If you know me you know I love gardening and vegetables and cats. So like... this is kind of a no-brainer project for me. I dont sew too often but when I do I always have so much fun (as well as an incredibly frustrating time but it's always worth it in the end). I definitely want to make more of these, and I think a Christmas-themed one may be next... coming in 4 years I stg these guys take so long to make. Thanks yall love you bye

Last poster of the 3! This one is my personal favorite, I liked this color palette and style of photo editing a lot more. I just recently saw Shakey Graves in concert for the second time back in Rockford and I stand by that he is one of my all time favorite musicians. Unmatched talent and passion and I will never get over the sound of his guitar UGH I wouldn't be the same person without his music in my life. Hope you like the poster!

Red Tour 🛻❤️🌹

A couple weeks ago, I gave myself the challenge to design 3 band tour posters in 3 days. So many artists I love are going on tour this year, and I couldn't help but start with Jesse Welles's Red Tour. This poster was super fun to create, and was great practice in a lot of facets of design that I think I could improve in. Kind of a departure from my usual work, but sometimes it's nice to try something new.

Idk how to caption this necessarily other than that I am baffled its been 10 years. 4 days before my 12th birthday i picked up a pencil and drew something based on a prompt my brother gave me, and now hes my favorite character I've ever made. Is he like the ship of theseus in that hes barely the same as when I made him up (other than his eyes lol)? Yeah. But I dont care. He's my son and he's growing and changing with me. Greeting cards!! 💐

In applying to creative jobs, I realized I have a gap in my portfolio where the work I want to be making professionally... was just missing. I've been playing with my style and what type of art I want to make in my career and these cards have been a super fun exercise for me! A while ago I asked on my story for card theme ideas, and my friends really helped me out!! (Thanks to Emily, Liesel, Arden, and Frankie specifically for these ideas hehehe) Yeah I'm crowdsourcing ideas for my art whateverrrr. I love drawing silly things!!!
