Gods plan… I was obsessed with the goal of winning a National title this year. However, just because you work so hard for something does not guarantee that it will happen. I am grateful I was able to leave my stamp on this program as a 2x NCAA D1 All-American. I knew no matter what the outcome was this year, I would have no regrets from the work and sacrifice I put into this sport.

This year was tough and I went through a lot of trial and tribulations, however you only truly lose when you give up. These trials helped build my faith and resilience. The beauty in wrestling is the lessons you learn and in the chase of your goals you build your character. This is more important than any accomplishment. SDSU, my coaches, and teammates have helped me develop tremendously as a person during my time here. I feel truly blessed from God by placing me in this environment. I can’t thank my support system enough, and I am excited to continue to give back to this sport and program. I am officially retired from college wrestling!

What a crazy year…
D1 NCAA All American and a Big 12 champion. Two goals of mine since I stepped on campus. Blessed and grateful to do what I love and to be a part of this team. Can’t thank the support system I have enough and everyone who helped get me here. Best part is, I’m not done yet… by @cadedevos
