The Archivist is trapped in the Scratch, a pocket dimension filled with all the digital items that fall through the cracks: abandoned digital pets, bounced emails, deleted default cubes and unsaved files. No one knows how the Archivist got there- but he needs your help to get out. Scratch Disk is an interactive art experience created by students and alumni of the CADRE lab at SJSU. Play on a classic arcade cabinet, sift through websites for clues, and work collaboratively with other players to uncover the secrets of the Scratch and help the Archivist escape... before it’s too late. Experience Scratch Disk at Maker Faire Bay Area from September 25th to 27th! #scratchdisk #makerfaire #sjsu #digitalmediaart by @cadre.so
What does CADRE mean to the people who are part of its community? For this video, we interviewed members of both the CADRE Student Organization and CADRE Alumni Organization to hear their perspectives on CADRE, collaboration, mentorship, and what it means to create together. From learning from one another to bringing different skills and perspectives together, their experiences highlight the connections between CADRE students and alumni—and the community that continues beyond the classroom. #ScratchDisk #MakerFaire #SJSU #DigitalMediaArt by @cadre.so
