We can’t control the words or actions of other people, but we can control how we respond.

Walking with Christ has taught me that forgiveness isn’t just for the person who hurt you, it’s also for yourself. It’s one of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn because forgiveness requires you to lay down your pride and your ego.

How can we go to Christ asking for forgiveness while refusing to forgive those who have hurt us? It doesn’t mean what happened was okay, or that you don’t have to be upset and it doesn’t mean you have to instantly trust them again. It simply means choosing to surrender the bitterness and letting God carry what you were never meant to hold. Forgiveness brings freedom into our lifes instead of stealing our peace and joy.

Forgiveness isn’t a one time thing, its a decision and something you will have to do everytime you remember the hurt. Choose forgiveness again not because the first time wasn’t enough but so your continuing to surrender that hurt over to Christ. Don’t keep picking the burden of your hurt back up. 💝💝

“And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. ’ For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

TEEN CAMP 2026! (but this time cabin leader edition🫣)

To be honest, I didn’t decide until 2-3 weeks before teen week I was even gonna be a cabin leader. But let me tell you, I’m SO HAPPY i said yes. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!! I’m going to testify about what the Lord did this week in Harvell 101! From the moment me and @macbrittmatthews stepped into the room Monday we knew the Lord was going to move this week in the life’s of these students. Before any of the girls stepped foot on the campground, His presence was already filling that room, and it left us with so much expectation for everything He was about to do.

The altar moments where their callings were revealed to them and where chains were broken, the prayers in our cabin, the conversations and even praying before a rec game, those were the most important parts to me this week. Watching these girls lay things down at the feet of Jesus and pursuing Him wholeheartedly, left me in tears. (No literally I cried every chance I could)
There was something so beautiful about watching a generation that was called “lost” by the world become completely captivated by the presence of Jesus. Big reminder that God is still raising up a generation that is hungry for Him! There aren’t enough words to describe everything the Lord did this week but i’m just so grateful!

A few moments from working Young Teen week! 💝 Working with this amazing group of people was such a JOY!!! There was never a dull moment. The biggest highlight was getting to pour into these kids, showing them patience, kindness, encouragement, and watch them have open ears and open hearts to receive what God had for them.
