Milestones like these don't just happen by accident.

@cafe.calaveras has become a favorite in Yesler, and for good reason.

One year ago, Café Calaveras opened its first brick-and-mortar café in the heart of Seattle’s Yesler neighborhood, and now it's a go-to gathering place rooted in a sense of belonging.

Inspired by her roots and the vibrant traditions of Latin culture, Clarissa Griego, founder of Café Calaveras, built a coffee shop on the ground floor of @batikapts in Yesler that celebrates Latinx culture, community, and exceptional coffee.

Swipe through to hear Clarissa reflect on one year of open doors in Yesler: what it took to get here, what she's learned, and what's next.

We’re bringing you a Latino brunch you won’t want to miss! 🍽️🔥

Come join us for good vibes, and a whole lot of sabor.

More details coming soon… 👀 by @cafe.calaveras

If we could move in to @cafe.calaveras we totally would, but we’ll settle for visiting them every week! 🥹🙌🏼

We got to chat with Clarissa, the owner of this queer, Latina, woman-owned gem, and if her laugh doesn’t immediately brighten your day, her mission absolutely will! 💫

It’s bright, airy, colorful, delicious and beautifully pays homage to chingonas mexicanas! The menu is so creative and we really didn’t try anything we didn’t love! ☕️

Head over to their page and stay tuned for future events, we know we are! 👀

And of course, tag your favorite foodie and make your next coffee date here! 🤌🏻
