the time has finally come. tomorrow we’ll kick off our @amsterdamdanceevent programme at @cafè40. @_virginiagianni_, @yooitsjoe_ , and @sash.abh will exibit their artoworks from october 22 until october 24. “this work exists somewhere between intimacy and observation, softness and discomfort. i want the images to leave something unanswered; to give the viewer just enough to look again and ask. that is where the conversation starts.” - virginia gianni “originally from Ukraine and now based in Amsterdam, I have been making art since early childhood. after completing my formal education, I began an independent inquiry into the body: how it moves, how it holds itself in space, and how it carries the emotional weight of experience.” - sasha bolhova the artworks will be available for purchase + there’re gonna be some prints available for purchase. always support local and international artists x see youuuuuu by @cafe40.ams
on day 3 of our @amsterdamdanceevent programme, we’ll dive into the experimental sounds of @ripragel and independent amsterdam-based label @seedlink.plus at @cafe40. @ripragel is an italian dj, producer and sound designer whose sound moves between club, ambient, idm, and electronica, creating a dreamlike yet energetic fusion of stretched synth textures, distortion, and fluid rhythmic structures. he’s currently based in berlin and working on his first album release. amsterdam based @inkscreen.00 (aka screenage dj) moves between lots of different corners of electronic music, sometimes to dance, sometimes to listen. since 2024, he runs the event series ‘firewire’. his last release ‘tn vii/eta’ is out now on seedlink⁺. you will have a guaranteed good time dancing to his sets! @ity2000_ is an amsterdam-based artist and seedlink⁺ co-founder. his upcoming sophomore album ‘imaginarium’ invites listeners into a carefree, childlike dream world where magic, fantasy and reality melt together. blending folktronica, plunderphonics and idm with surrealist lyricism, ity creates a colourful and warm sonic world. amsterdam-based dj @pebblle moves between 80s industrial, folktronica and idm, bringing together the textural, strange and unexpected in sets that are always danceable. a former garage noord resident and lyl radio host, she is also the drummer and singer of ‘from 2’, with a debut album coming soon on south of north. free entrance untily full capacity. see you at the café from 10pm until 3am x artworks by @adieuamour_ by @cafe40.ams

what if creating a more accessible, safer, and inclusive nightlife isn’t about adding more rules, but about changing how we show up in the space? on october 22, we’ll kick off our @amsterdamdanceevent programme at @cafe40.ams with ‘spazi sensibili’ (lesshumans_ and @veronica_insights) a project that explores accessibility, safety, and inclusivity within club and night culture as practices of collective care. whether you know him as the mind behind genre-defying label @knekelhuis_ and one half of hybrid analogue-punk duo ‘volition immanent’, or simply as mark knekelhuis, he is constantly blurring the lines of dance music as we know it. moving freely between techno, synth-pop, wave, electronics and ambient, mark is driven by the unlimited firepower of dance music as a transgressive yet unifying means of expression. entry is free until full capacity. see you at the café from 6pm til 11pm x artworks by @adieuamour_ by @cafe40.ams
De eigenaar is op vakantie! Voor hij terug komt maken we er nog even een zooitje van! Een heel weekend lang live bands, vinyl dj's en goedkope baco's 🍻💥 Zet 'm alvast in je agenda! Line up en timetable volgt! Poster door @kutbruno by @cafe40.ams
