Launching Friday - The Patchwork collection.

Patchwork has become something of a mainstay around here over the past couple of seasons, so this time we thought why not give it its own chapter.

Hand-pieced, overdyed, and stonewashed, making each garment never quite the same as another. Admittedly it made this one slightly more complicated for us, but a lot more interesting for you.

AW26 Fabric Guide

Material is arguably the heart of every garment, which is why we put so much time and resource into scouring the globe for the most characterful and highest quality fabrics and trims we can get our grubby mittens on.

This season is no different, we’ve a tight and carefully curated fabric ensemble ranging from Japan, India, Portugal and England. Think cotton and kapok blend checks from Wakayama, Japan, crafted crazy check patchwork madras from Jaipur, India, highland spun yarns from Scotland and much more.

We’ve also been researching garment treatments and developed new washes for this season, which includes mud washing fabric in Japan, mineral and pigment washes.

The Telemark Mountain Jacket makes a return, this time with full 2-way zip, offering a sense of relief for all those that have fell victim to the overhead jacket entanglement.

Inspired by classic mountaineering parkas, the Telemark is cut from a robust Japanese 60/40 cotton nylon blend grosgrain.
Dual side entry pockets with double snap closures, and a trio of nifty chest pockets set the stage, offering a total of 7 pockets.

Finished with Japanese waxed drawcords, gunmetal hardware and made in England corozo nut buttons.

We just returned back from @eternalsunfestival set in the beautifully remote village of Sougia, Crete.
An intimate 500 capacity festival where music, nature and the area’s free spirit is put into focus. Set against the mountains, the sea and a bespoke built sound system, the 3 night party takes the crowd from evening to sunrise, or as we like to dub it, ‘A Dance to First Light’.

Pure magic.

Introducing the Ideal Jacket, yes, that’s its name and a fitting one it is.
The starting point of this jacket came from a vintage 1950s made in USA hunting jacket that we stumbled upon deep diving some eBay archives.
We were instantly drawn in by lack of shoulder seams on the garment, an obscure pattern cutting decision, but one that rewarded great freedom of movement. Using the silhouette as a base, we’ve perfected the cut, added a joyous amount of utility; that means many pockets, six in fact, and a small utility loop trapped into the body seam.
The fabric is a Japanese 70/30 cotton nylon that has been washed with mud, rinsed and left to dry naturally with no tension, which leaves a delicate and beautiful wrinkle effect and patina.  Finished with a 2-way zip, it’s the sort of piece that you can throw on without overthinking it, whether you’re going to the pub or the park, you’re set with the ideal jacket.

Shirts for all and any occasion. Slow days, fast days, active days, lazy days, messy days and even those days you choose to scrub up. 🧽

This seasons shirting includes fabrics made from trees, linen and cotton. Yes you read that right, trees!We’ve got a touch of Kapok in some of our shirting, a fiberous material that is ultra-lightweight, naturally hypoallergenic and sustainable. We’ve also developed mineral washes over a Japanese 50/50 cotton linen blend, creating our ‘heirloom cotton’ and vintage treatments on Japanese seersucker corduroy.

And of course, new variations of our beloved and signature Indian patchwork. 🪡

Café Mountain x Eternal Sun Festival 2026

Building on a shared, deep connection and love through music and nature, we have teamed up with Eternal Sun Festival once again to create a limited 6 piece capsule collection, ahead of their party next week.

Eternal Sun is a 3 night gathering in the beautifully remote village of Sougia, Crete, offering a refreshing and unique approach to partying. With emphasis on environment, experience and sound, the festival makes home in a 500 capacity open air club, that runs from night to sunrise, soundtracked by the finest selectors and DJs through the venues custom built soundsystem.

The capsule launches at 10:00am (BST) on Friday 28th August exclusively www.cafe-mountain.com and in-store.
