REPAIR CAFÉ VÉLO | BIKE REPAIR WORKSHOP

On 15 October, we’’re holding a bike repair workshop at our Nice store, as part of the Journées Nationales de la Réparation (National Repair Days). We’ve invited Cyclotrope, a community bike school and cycling advocacy association that we support through our 1% for the Planet pledge, to host an hour-long maintenance workshop (limited to 12 places) from 9h30 that morning. This will be followed until midday by an open session during which anyone can come and ask questions. Please spread the word! Workshop sign-up is via the link in bio. The Journées Nationales de la Réparation, now in its fourth year, promotes the repair and reuse of everyday object from clothes to kitchen appliances, combating planned obsolescence and unnecessary waste. by @cafeducycliste_nice

Race weekend, the Nice way.
Last Friday, we welcomed @nathan_gbr and @compressport to our Nice store for a shake-out run, breakfast and pre-race Q&A. A chance to talk training, racing and our collaborative UltRide Evo 8 Hydration Vest, just two days before the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships hit our home playground.
Nathan went on to finish 29th in a world-class field. Chapeau, Nathan. Now, all roads lead to Kona. by @cafeducycliste_nice

Last Wednesday we joined forces with @niceplogging and @trailrunnerfoundation (one of our 1% for the Planet-supported companies) for a quick run and then a walk along the seafront picking up litter.
20 people, 5km, around 30 small bags of rubbish removed, including a pair of rain boots and a chair!
Thanks to everyone who came for showing some love for Nice’s natural fringes.

Race week, good company & an easy shakeout.

Together with @compressport, we’re kicking off Ironman 70.3 World Championships weekend with a morning Q&A with @nathanguerbeur, ahead of his big race on Sunday 13th.

We’ll take a closer look at our UltRide Evo 8 Hydration Vest and its features, before warming up and heading out for an easy shakeout run together.

Coffee & breakfast on us.

On Saturday 8 August, forty riders set off for an 80-kilometre ride straight to see the Femmes of the women’s pro peloton en route to Nice: Col d’Èze, La Turbie, Côte de Peille, reaching the Côte de la Ginestière just in time to catch the caravan, then the race itself.
The day closed out with drinks at the Skoda dealership nearby.
Best roads in Nice, the world’s greatest race and a great crew.
