The @rcshops hosted a @chicagobears 🏈 watch party that had a fun filled kid area! @playstreetmuseum kept the kids occupied the whole game with board games, coloring pages, and a slime making station. They also had an air brush painter named Lisa who was wonderful. @cafetola had a delicious horchata latte and empanadas. @windycityburgersocialclub had a kids cheeseburger option that was very good as well. #sundayfunday #thingstodo #chicagobears #toddleractivities #southloop by @cafetola
First, I apologize for my three-minute Sunday video of me feeling hurt and having a little pity party! 😝 But truthfully, I’ve fucking had it. I’m tired of former employees taking my recipes, my ideas, my formulas, going after my customers, and trying to claim pieces of a story they didn’t create. I understand that truly original ideas are few and far between. We all draw inspiration from somewhere. But when you open a business, start selling puerco con nopales empanadas, and act like you invented the idea? Go fuck yourself. There is only ONE #CafeTola, and there is only ONE #Tolita. What you cannot copy is the story, the sacrifices, the sleepless nights, the failures, the risks, and the years of blood, sweat, and tears that built this brand. My story is MINE to tell. My children are living proof of the years of hard work, sacrifice, and fucking GRIT it took to get here. They didn’t just watch Mami and Papi build something from nothing. They worked alongside us. They sacrificed alongside us. They grew up understanding what it means to fight for something you believe in. And that is something nobody can steal. So, while others are busy trying to recreate what we’ve built, I’ll be busy building what’s next. Expect to see Café Tola nationwide, feeding America beautiful little stuffed pockets of love. ❤️ I’m not finished. Not even close. #CafeTola #Tolita #BestEmpanadas ChicagosBestEmpanadas ChicagoEats WomenOwnedBusiness BuiltNotBorrowed by @cafetola
