Player Spotlight: Bosch | LHP | Wake Forest University Some players make an impression. Others make a prediction feel inevitable. Coach Webb player report: Bosch has been part of the Cage 52 family since the doors first opened in 2021, but the story truly began earlier. The first time I watched him play catch in the cage at just 13 years old, standing 6’5” and already moving differently, I knew I was seeing something special. That day, I told him plainly: “You’ll be 95 by your senior year, and you’ll play professional baseball. I guarantee it.” Fast forward to today—Bosch now stands 6’8”, a dominant left-handed pitcher at Wake Forest University, and was touching 96 mph just last week back at Cage 52. Bosch played on the Cage 52 Banana all four years, committing himself to development both on and off the field. Year after year, he showed up, put in the work, and steadily transformed potential into performance. Along the way, he made a name for himself on the national circuit—not just for his velocity, but for his competitiveness, composure, and presence on the mound. What stands out most, however, is who Bosch has become beyond the baseball. He’s a humble giant—grounded, coachable, and respectful of the process. Watching him grow from a wide-eyed teenager into the elite athlete and person he is today has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Now at Wake Forest, the foundation is firmly set. The arm is electric. The ceiling is real. And the spring ahead is one I’m incredibly excited to watch unfold. Bosch deserves every bit of success coming his way. WELCOME TO CAGE 52, MYLES BEALE We’re excited to welcome Myles Beale to the Cage 52 staff. Myles is an unbelievable baseball mind with a drive that is contagious and a genuine passion for teaching the game. Being a current professional player, his playing experience, knowledge, and ability to connect with athletes make him a great addition to our staff. A Grand Rapids native and Catholic Central graduate, Myles went on to become a four-year starter at Northwood University. After graduating in 2025, he continued his playing career professionally in the USPBL, followed by time in the Frontier League and Pioneer League with the Schaumburg Boomers and Oakland Ballers. Myles has been giving private lessons for approximately six years and will be working with athletes in hitting, infield, and outfield development. We’re also excited to announce that Myles will be taking over the helm as Head Coach of the Cage 52 Kings 15U. We’re grateful to have Myles join the Cage 52 family and look forward to the impact he’ll have on our players. Pretty cool day at Cage 52. With all the smoke shutting things down outside, the West Michigan Whitecaps came in to get their bullpen work done. We really appreciate them choosing our place when they need somewhere to keep working. I got to sit in on a few bullpens, watch the catchers do their work, and talk some baseball with the manager Rene Rivera and pitching coach Dan Ricabal. Thanks for letting me hang around and learn a little. We think it’s pretty cool that Cage 52 can be a place players at every level trust when they need to get their work in.
