Hi, I’m Carla! I picked up a hoop for fun at a festival and 20 years later, here we are!If you’re new here, here’s a little about me you may not know. And if you’ve known me for a while, here’s my whole hooping journey. I had the absolute delight of hosting a hula hoop party for a little girl’s 7th birthday recently! 🎉We learned a variety of fun hula hoop skills, played with some colourful ribbon moves, and I finished the party with a multi-hoop performance. The children had an absolute ball, and it was such a joy to see everyone getting involved, having a giggle, and trying something new!This photo is shared with the kind permission of the parents, who also sent me this lovely feedback...“We booked Carla for our daughter’s 7th birthday party and it could not have been better. Carla made the session fun and engaging with lots of variety, a great playlist and an amazing performance at the end.Our daughter absolutely loved it and her friends have given some great feedback about the party. We would highly recommend Carla as an entertainer, she is just fab.I actually went to a class of hers with a friend a few years back and it was so much fun. Recently I had the pleasure of hanging out with @mysoulisadancer Masha 💖I took her to one of my fave hoop spots in Kings Cross & we made this fun little combo, combining our moves and movement!🌀 What dya think of our duet??Masha was over in London teaching at our @hulaballoolondon Summer HoopFest and I was so inspired by her workshop! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU 💫✨From the bottom of our sparkly hearts 💖Summer HoopFest was the MOST special day, it was actually beyond our wildest hoopy dreams 💓It’s hard to put into words the magic that happens when you bring together so many beautiful souls✨But we’ll try…The teachers (the BEST!), the venue (what a venue!!), the epic tricks (seriously mind blown), but most of all YOU.. THANK YOU!💞🫶✨To everyone who came, played, glittered, learnt something new and celebrated our TENTH BIRTHDAY with us - 10 epic years of sharing the hooplove in London!!🥳🌟The amount of love in the room on Saturday was a stark reminder why we love putting these events on - a community coming together to indulge in a passion for small plastic circles. My multi-hoop performance to *Hot, Hot, Hot* 🔥This week I turned 43. I also performed a routine I originally created in 2018 that I haven’t performed in at least six years.I chose to perform this particular routine because I had something to prove to me. I could’ve chosen something less tricky, less hoops, but I wanted to show myself that I could still perform all those awesome multi-hoop tricks I was doing before becoming a mum. After over 10 years of hooping & performing, you may think I’ve got nothing to worry about, but these kind of doubts & worries are still very present!And I did it! 💪I nailed those tricky multi-hoop tricks and proved to myself that they’re still in there. Was it perfect? Absolutely not. There were plenty of drops, and by the end I was seriously out of puff! 😅 These really are the highlights... maybe I’ll make a drops reel too!But watching this back, I’m really proud. I can still do it. And I think it’s a great performance.And honestly?
