I paid money to suffer can’t wait to do it again!!! 👻 by @cait.shizzy
Gross, two Hyrox posts in a row. First solo didn’t finish how I’d hoped, but I’m just happy to finish! Now I have a starting point, and I know where I need to improve (wall balls and burpee broad jumps 👎🏽). I wouldn’t have done anything like this a year ago, so I’ll take the small victories where I can. Shoutout to my amazing husband @petexschiessl who made the journey with me to both races in a four day time span— thank you for supporting me and being a willing participant in all the silly things I sign up for. Another shoutout to my @alphafitclub.brick family for driving me to show up for myself every day and to be better, whether y’all know it or not. 🐺💪🏽 Next solo race, whenever that may be, I’m chasing a sub 1:35. ⭐️ by @cait.shizzy
First Hyrox for the both of us. Big shoutout to Nick for being my partner and for the wall balls carry. Never would’ve thought I’d see this on our bingo card. 😂 Maybe we’ll do it again?? by @cait.shizzy
I love u Godzilla, I love u Merlion, XOXO 💞 by @cait.shizzy
This past weekend I ran my very first half marathon. I used to be a dedicated (but still casual, no goals in mind) runner in my early twenties, but fell off that wagon for other routines. Last year I joined @alphafitclub.brick, which has been the driving force when it comes to getting me to push myself and try new things. When @josepcrescenzo said I should do the Jersey City half program, I said okay, why not? Might be fun, might die, let’s find out! 🤘🏽 My goal with this race was to finish under 2:15, and I’m so stoked to say that I accomplished that goal! I probably could have pushed myself more, but that’s okay. I can only go up from here! Already looking forward to the next one. 😎 Lastly, a special thank you to the friends I’ve made along the way— your support in this journey means more to me than y’all will ever know!! All the 7am runs in the freezing cold will be some of my favorite memories of this year. by @cait.shizzy
