Four years ago, I was a freshman filled with uncertainty—unsure of what the future held and honestly a little afraid of it. I stepped into a completely new environment, miles away from the only place I had ever called home, carrying more questions than answers. There were moments of doubt, challenges that tested me, and seasons where my prayers came from a place of fear rather than faith.

But what I didn’t realize at the time was that every single one of those prayers—every worry, every hope, every late-night conversation with God—was being heard. Piece by piece, they were shaping a path I couldn’t yet see. Now, looking back, I can clearly see how those prayers have unfolded in ways far greater than I could have imagined.

Choosing to pursue a four-year degree away from home didn’t just change my surroundings—it changed me. It stretched my heart, strengthened my mind, and refined my soul. It taught me resilience, independence, and what it truly means to trust in something bigger than yourself.

Today, I stand here in awe—graduating from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. And what’s even more incredible is that I didn’t even start here. I came in as a completely different major, unsure of where I belonged. But through growth, guidance, and a willingness to adapt, I found my path.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: step out of your comfort zone. Trust in the Lord, even when it’s uncomfortable. Take life one day at a time. You don’t have to have it all figured out—you just have to keep moving forward. Start something, and commit to finishing it.

There will be hard days. There will be moments where you question everything. But if you stay the course, if you trust the process, everything will fall into place exactly how it’s meant to.
