I have been avoiding this post for as long as possible because i just can’t get myself to believe that the sport i’ve spent my whole life doing is officially over. Ever since I was two years old, gymnastics has been a safe place where I could learn, fail, and grow up to be the person I am today. Gymnastics wasn’t always easy for me as there were injuries, surgeries, and setbacks that made me second guess this sport way too many times to count. But the fact that I came out on the other side strong and happy each time goes to show how much I really did love it. It’s feels strange to say goodbye to something that has been such a big part of who I am for so long. A chapter that felt like it would last forever somehow came to an end. As sad as it is to close this chapter, I wouldn’t change a single second of it. I am endlessly grateful for the lessons, the memories, and the people this sport gave me. Gymnastics shaped me in ways I’ll spend the rest of my life discovering. So while this may be the end of my gymnastics career, it isn’t the end of the person gymnastics helped create. A part of me will always belong here. Thank you for raising me Centre Elite and thank you to my teammates, coaches, and family for being there every step of the way.
