And so it begins.
“Anya” out now on all streaming platforms. 💙

It isn’t perfect. I don’t have a professional studio or a perfect microphone. I just had a song in my heart and enough courage to let it be heard.

And maybe that’s what I love most about God. He doesn’t ask us to be perfect before He loves us.

He meets us exactly where we are.

So here’s my first little leap of faith.

Still trying to wrap my head around how blessed I am to be part of something like this. ❤️

Being part of UCF Celebrates the Arts and performing Beethoven’s 9th with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra feels like a dream I didn’t even know I was allowed to have.

When I first came to UCF, I was prepared for the unexpected, but I never imagined moments like this. Standing in the middle of something so beautiful, so powerful, so alive… it’s honestly hard to put into words.

I love it here. I’m so grateful. I’ve learned so much, grown so much, and I can’t believe I get to carry this experience with me wherever I go.

Still in awe. Still so full. And already excited for what next year will bring. ✨🎶

🎤 Last Friday, University Singers performed selections from Mendelssohn’s Elijah alongside the UCF Orchestra and wonderful soloists and conductors! ❤️ This was definitely some of the hardest music I’ve done, but it was so worth being up in Steinmetz Hall again, so thankful I am in this wonderful program. 🤍 by @caityjoy.official

🩵 9 years ago today, I stepped on stage as Wendy for the very first time. 🌟 Fourth grade me didn’t even know I could sing, and I was already facing severe anxiety, but somehow, God gave me this gift, and it changed everything.

Theater has given me a life I can’t even put into words. It’s indescribable, uncontainable… and that’s the point. Every note, every line, every laugh, every tear… it’s bigger than me. God used this gift to show me who I could be, to give me confidence, memories, friends, love, and a home for my soul. 🎭💖

And today, I get to celebrate Ms. Turner’s birthday, the person who saw me before I saw myself, who believed in me, and who shaped my love for theater. I wouldn’t be here without her. Thank you for helping me shine and helping me see the beauty God put in me.

Nine years, countless moments, and still the magic is uncontainable. Little me, you did it. ✨ Here’s to the gift, the stage, and the people who make it all possible.

🐣 This morning, I had the wonderful privilege to come back to TUMC with some fellow Singing Knights to sing with the church choir in the Easter Cantata! 🩷

This was a beautiful service and gathering in the Lord’s Name. Telling the story of Christ through song with so may talented musicians overwhelms me with a joy I can’t begin to describe. ✨What a beautiful week for some music! 🎶💐

Monday, March 2 was the SSAA/TTBB festival, where we hosted several high schools in the Pegasus Ballroom and joined together in a wonderful celebration of song. 🤍 It was at an event like this that my whole life changed; so I can only pray that someone’s world is impacted by this the same way mine was.

I also had the wonderful opportunity to come back to Jacksonville for the District 4 Choral Music Performance Assessment (MPA) this weekend as a chaperone for Ms. Turngren (Mandarin HS) and to help Ms. Turner run the programs. 🎤 I am so incredibly proud of every choir, every director, every student that sang and made history together.

It’s so different coming back to these kind of things; it’s not something you’d think would have much impact on you until it’s gone. And watching my choirs earn perfect scores, being behind the scenes, laughing, crying, watching my beautiful director friends put what they worked so hard for to life… it’s just another reminder of my purpose, why I sing. And I really needed that this weekend. 🤍

This week truly was a beautiful example of this:
It’s not about where we go or what we do, nor just about the songs we sing, but it’s about the ones we meet along the way that will inspire us for the rest of our lives. 🌺🎵💕 by @caityjoy.official
