She was tossed by waves, but did not sink. 🫶🏼 I still don’t expect to see this girl when I look at a photo taken. I expect to see the girl who was screaming inside, dying for a moment of solitude from the rage in her mind, dying for a moment of solace, dying for authentic self love, and aching - dying - for the millions of negative voices in her head to give her one iota of safety, stillness and peace. Now, when I see a photo taken of me - every single time - I truly have a moment of “whoa. that’s me?” Because I finally see her. I feel her. I see the peace. I see her beauty. I see her big heart. I see the girl I desperately yearned to let out from behind a caged mind, I see the girl I knew I could be. I’m finally found her - the girl I was meant to be. Inside and out. Everyday, I’m more and more excited to get to know her. I guess the surprise is a good thing - because every gasp and surprise at my own reflection, reminds me just how far I’ve really come. #somatictherapy #spiritualawakening #healingispossible #mermaidcosplay #yvractress #yvrphotographer #mermaid #mermaidcosplay #morningrave #yvr #vancouvermermaid #yvrphotographer by @caitymed
I am Caitlynne. Five + years ago I entered the darkest space of my life; and since then, I’ve been actively working to remove all parts of me that made me suffer. The parts of me that contributed to my own suffering. When your mental health is in the toilet, you can’t just “think positive” or “let it go” - you can’t forgive yourself or others, it’s impossible. But step by step, moment by moment, of mindfullness, of active and intentional choice to say: this isn’t who I was as a child; this isn’t me - I was joyful, optimistic, powerful and full of effervescent magic - until it all became fake - a mask. A disingenuous way of survival… Those from the past ten years wouldn’t recognize me now: those from my childhood - would say, she hasn’t changed a bit. I don’t see ugly. I see beauty. I see a pure heart. I see a girl with integrity. A girl true to her heart and her word. I see joy. I see physical and mental strength. I see physical and mental clarity. I see a girl who loves the planet. I see a girl who always leaves a place better than she found it. I see kindness. I see authenticity; someone who knows we all deserve to be exactly who we are. I see someone who’s sacrificed more than enough to get here. I see a cheerleader. Someone who hopes for the best for you - even if you think I’m the villain. I do not see a villain. I see an angel. I see someone allowing herself to make mistakes. I see a healer; of self and others. I see a genuine smile. I see someone divinely guided and protected. I see someone who trusts her intuition. I see someone who will never let abuse within her circle ever again. I see someone who will try everyday to help. I see beauty. I see the beauty. I see my beauty: I am beautiful. I am me. Whole. And full. Honouring every step it took to get here. Every release; every gain; every tear; every pound; every pimple. She’s me. I remember. ♥️ Healing @tridesnahealing 🪷 Gratitude for Bali; for the women that saw me and said; now is your time. I didn’t realize how much of my identity was built on survival. This isn’t glow up energy, it’s grounded energy. It’s being at peace energy. It’s trusting myself energy. It’s knowing myself energy. It’s not easy, it’s hard. The only way out is through. But we can do it. I got you. I’ve got a ton of content with tips and tools to help you get there coming up, just give a follow or comment below, and I’ll make sure you never miss a post. ♥️ All my love. Truth - believing our residential school survivors. Reconciliation - #landback Remember, reflect and learn from indigenous voices. Every child matters. Clean drinking water is a right. Blessed to live and play on the traditional territory of the Katzie (q̓ic̓əy̓) and Kwantlen (qʼʷa:n̓ƛ̓ən̓) Peoples. Honoured to be married to an incredible and strong family of survivors from the Lytton band. #ReconciliationJourney #orangeshirtday by @caitymed
Hi friends! If you’re new here, welcome! I am so excited to announce that I’m opening my calendar to help other people find the most joyful versions of themselves. A few years ago I entered a dark night of the soul and during that time I could not see myself ever coming out of it. My DMs were off, I stayed home, I cried, I wailed, I grieved, I got really angry… but I healed. I knew I had been a child FULL of joy and spunk and spirit and my only goal was to find her again. It hasn’t been easy, but damn, has it been worth it. I’d love to help you get there too. You can book a free discovery call, we can see if working together is the right fit for you. 💕 Turn your trauma into promise. A promise to yourself and your future. You deserve it. www.caitymed.com to book 💕 #healingjourney #onlinecoach #spiritualawakening #audhd #lifeinthearts by @caitymed
