POSTS STORIES REELS

This year we committed to travelling in every school break and we really have had the best time exploring so many epic new places.

It’s taken a lot of organisation and planning throughout the year to make sure we get the best out of each one of these trips, but it’s been so worth it when we look back on all the amazing memories we’ve made.

We have to say a massive well done to Florence, she takes all of this in her stride and will happily walk in excess of 20k steps a day on some of these ‘holidays.’

Events over the past few years have led us to become so passionate about exploring the world as a family and so we will continue on, travelling as much as we can next year and every year after that 🌎✈️🛳️

So here’s a summary of where we’ve been this year:
1. 🇺🇸 Orlando (Florida)
2. 🇪🇸 La Coruna (Spain)
3. 🇪🇸 Bilbao (Spain)
4. 🇫🇷 Le Verdon (France)
5. 🇫🇷 Cherbourg (France)
6. 🇺🇸 Boston (Massachusetts)
7. 🇺🇸 Cape Cod (Massachusetts)
8. 🇺🇸 Nantucket Island (Massachusetts)
9. 🇺🇸 Martha’s Vinyard (Massachusetts)
10.🇺🇸 Salem (Massachusetts)
11.🇨🇦 Vancouver (Canada)
12.🇨🇦 Vancouver Island (Canada)
13.🇨🇦 Whistler (Canada)
14.🇺🇸 Skagway (Alaska)
15.🇺🇸 Juneau (Alaska)
16.🇺🇸 Ketchikan (Alaska)
17.🇬🇧 Center Parcs (Sherwood)

🛳️ We had the most amazing week aboard the Disney Wonder in Alaska. The scenery was breathtaking, especially during the glacier viewing day, and being able to see Orca whales from the deck. Florence loved the Disney themed kids club and meeting all the characters. This was our first Disney cruise, but won’t be our last!

10 years 💒💍💖

10 years ago today we said ‘I do’ in beautiful sunny Orlando. Wishing we could be back there celebrating in the magic today ✨🏰🐭🎀

10 years married, 17 years together, forever thankful for every big and small adventure 🌎✈️ 🗺️

Also a little flashback of our first trip to Florida together in 2010 (taken in a bar in Miami) ❤️☀️🏝️

🇪🇸 Cruise Port 3: Vigo, Spain

A day spent exploring this beautiful city. Our highlights were:

🏰 A hike to the top of Castelo do Castro - to admire the panoramic views of Vigo.
🏛️A walk around Casco Vello (the old town), exploring the cobblestone alleyways and shops.
⛵️A very sunny walk along the Marina.

⚓️This was the last port on our trip, followed by a full day at sea (much smoother than the last, which we were all grateful for), before we returned home earlier today.

Despite the rough seas at the start, we had an amazing trip. Until the next adventure…❤️

🇵🇹Cruise Port 2: Lisbon, Portugal

We spent a beautiful sunny day exploring Portugal’s capital city, Lisbon. Our highlights were:

🏰 A visit to Castelo de São Jorge, the panoramic views of the city from this 11th century castle and its resident roaming peacocks were amazing.
🚃 We rode the entire route of Lisbons Tram 28, rattling through Lisbon’s steepest historic hills in this vintage tram and admiring all of the beautiful sites.
👟We took a walk through the Alfama District – Lisbon’s oldest neighborhood, famous for its steep cobblestone alleys.
🏛️ Finally we visited Praça do Comércio, one of the biggest city squares in Europe, here we admired the views whilst sampling the local wine (obvioulsy)!

🇵🇹 Cruise Port 1: Porto, Portugal

🏛️ We had the best day exploring the beautiful city of Porto. We walked a total of 14km on our self guided tour…fuelled entirely by ice cream and natas (of course)!🍨

✨🛳️ It’s Embarkation Day! 🛳️✨

🚘 We have just made it to Southampton, a day later than was originally planned as our cruise departure was impacted by the recent storms. We will now be spending the next six nights on board P&O’s Ventura, with port stops in:

🇵🇹 Porto, Portugal
🇵🇹 Lisbon, Portugal
🇪🇸 Vigo, Spain

🇫🇷 Our original itinerary also included a stop in Cherbourg, France, where we had planned to visit the beaches and museums of the D-Day landings. We are all very sad to miss this port, but grateful that we were able to visit this beautiful place on a previous cruise.

🧭 We have chosen to book limited excursions for this trip so maybe it will be more relaxing than most of our adventures…we’ll see!

🍁🎃 New nails…must mean the next adventure is incoming! 🛳️☀️

✈️The flights are booked and we finally have a countdown (albeit it’s a pretty long one), in 300 days we will be road tripping around California for three weeks, and it will be our first ever trip to DisneyLand!✨🏰💖🐭

We are also planning to visit:
🎬 Universal Studios, Hollywood
🏞️ Yosemite National Park
🌲 Sequoia National Park
🌊 The Pacific Coast Highway (covering as much ground as we possibly can)

This is all new to us, so we need lots of help! We would love to know all of your:
🏨 Hotel recommendations
✨ Disney and Universal tips
📍 Must see places to visit and eat

🗺️ We are all so excited to be finally making this trip after dreaming about it for the longest time! 💖✨

🛳️ It’s now only 4 weeks until our next adventure!☀️

⚓️ We will be embarking in Southampton and spending seven nights on board P&O’s Ventura, with port stops in:

🇫🇷 Cherbourg, France
🇪🇸 Vigo, Spain
🇵🇹 Porto, Portugal
🇵🇹 Lisbon, Portugal

🛳️ We can’t believe that up until two years ago we’d never even been on a cruise, and now this will be our fifth one. Cruising has definitely become a holiday favourite for our family.

🗓️ As always, we have a pretty extensive itinerary, but if you’ve visited any of these ports please let us know any must dos.

That’s a wrap on our epic New England road trip and Eastern Canada cruise!

🚘 With 1700 miles travelled by car
👟 A total of 140 miles walked
🇺🇸 7 US states ticked off the list
🇨🇦 And 2 Canadian states visited

We’ve had the best time exploring everything New England and Eastern Canada has to offer over the last 3.5 weeks. But now we are heading to Boston airport for our return flight home this evening.

Until the next adventure…❤️

🛳️ Cruise Port 4: Saint John, New Brunswick 🇨🇦

🍁 Our final stop of the cruise and our second port in Eastern Canada.

🌊 This one was a little different for us as we decided to hire a car, head out of Saint John, and drive the 30km scenic Fundy Trail from St Martins. The ocean overlooks, waterfalls, sea caves, beaches and gorges were all stunning and we loved exploring this beautiful part of the Canadian coastline for the day🌲
