The end of another school year means a cake for an elementary teacher.

Her only input was something happy and that made me happy making it. This cake definitely checked both boxes!

Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling topped with raspberry filling, wrapped up in vanilla buttercream.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I made these for the teacher-staff lounge stock. Funfetti with pastel rainbow buttercream and @sweetapolita “Buttercream Dreams” sprinkles.

A lot of my baking these days is for the teachers and staff at my son’s elementary school. I’m the PTO Teacher Liaison, which means I stock the lounge once a month. Sometimes I take that opportunity to bake. These were part of February’s lounge stock.

A couple of weeks ago we had the football banquet for my oldest son. I helped plan and carry it out. Included in those plans was a couple of cakes.

Even though I’m not making cakes every week or even every month, I love it’s a skill I still have!

This was the 7th cake I’ve made for my adoption anniversary family.

Always the same colors, but different flavors and design each year.

It’s that time of year; the last day of school!
I started a tradition five years ago of making my boys’ teachers (elementary only) a cake for their end-of-year gift. I love this, because I use their favorite things as inspiration and I have total creative freedom! These cakes have been some of my all-time favorites.
