We had a gorgeous gathering recently to celebrate a lifetime together for a perfect duo who show us the meaning of true love every day 🤍

Tried out a different cake style for this one & I loved the end result!

🎂 - spiced carrot cake with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream.

Meet the makers:

We are sisters who love to bake amid the chaos of life with four energetic kids, one full-time job, two very patient (😆) husbands & everything else in between!

Don’t worry, you won’t be seeing our faces on here too often but, after a year of CakeSisters Limerick, we thought it best to introduce ourselves despite the hideous amount of cringe required.

Most often we are to be found donning aprons & very fetching blue hats, beautifully adorned with food colouring splashes, decorating together at weekends while keeping life (read kids) at arms length. Every once in a while however, we manage to scrub up & get out of the kitchen & often times we are asked to bring cake!! This pic is one such time🥰.

We have been faffing about in the kitchen for a number of years now, treating our children as guinea pigs & dedicating many hours to their birthday cakes each year. As a result of over involving them for the past 12 years, we are often subjected to their harshest criticism so know your cake designs have undergone rigorous opinion polls & “expert” analysis before they pass the final design stages & make it to the kitchen to be baked!

We put our heart & soul into our bakes, use only quality ingredients, pure Irish butter, free range eggs, Belgian chocolate, organic lemons & love to make our own salted caramel, curds & fillings. This past year has been a baptism of fire, a fabulous introduction to wonderful customers & a constant internal struggle of “what if we fail…..😳” v’s “what if we fly”. We’re sucking up the cringe, taking a leap of faith & hoping that CakeSisters Limerick will soar. DM us to order we’d love to play a small part in making your next celebration extra special. by @cakesisterslimerick
