Everybody in their thoughts, and you smiling with a coffee in your hands.
This is the best expression of your soul buddy.
Always supporting my dreams, always giving me the platform to step up one notch, always taking my side when things got tough.
I am shattered into pieces today, but I still have in my mind that morning in Bishkek at the registration of the @silkroadmountainrace. When you reached out to me, complimenting my podcast and giving me strength for what the next weeks would be. You, before your first ultra, cool and smiley, with a bunch of remoteness in front of you, encouraging that nervous me with a way lesser job than yours to care for.
Goodbye Max. I already miss you friend 🖤 by @calamarocc

@zeerbrewing X @monopole.cc : The ZIPA Tool Bike Collab better knonw as the ZIPaPOLE

Collabs I crave are genuine, real, and grassroots because online is good, but we love the keep-it-real approach.
I have known MONOPoLE since the beginning of their and our stories, and we flirted for a bit and we found we have a lot much in common.
Last mile delivery, intermodal mobility, direct connections, community building, one-less-car approach, these are some of the values we shared aside from a nerdy attitude on bike love.
The project was clear, creating a loud cargo bike to deliver Zeer and activate stunts, something that spreads joy and excitement whenever it shows its colours in the neighbourhood.
I am proud of riding this wonder around and beyond town, and if you see it around, feel free to approach and ask for a Zeer, nobody will say no to you.
I want to thank @pascalpensa for making this happen and for the constant support.
If you have arrived here, you are now ready for some geeky conversations. Let’s go over some of the highlights of this marvel:

A bike review in a BroomWagon-style. I have been reviewing the Ritchey Montebello for a while, but nothing could really match a tech talk when you have one of the ideators and first real testers of the bike itself on the other side.
In this episode of the @broomwagonpodcast I talk with Fergus Tanaka (@thefergdog), Marketing Manager at Ritchey’s (@ritcheylogic) and the person who brought the Montebello very first prototype from the Flemish cobbles to the Paris-Brest-Paris.
And yes, the first 4 photos in this post are from the one and only Ryan Le Garrec @ryan_le_garrec.

The plan for tomorrow was to wake up before dusk, take the train to the Küchenaus and at 6am pedaling between one Dead End and a Cake. I’ve never felt that ready, I’ve never been more prepared, but curve balls are often too sneaky to predict and even sketchier to catch.
So, no @dead_ends_and_cake for me in 2026, fortunately tho, @zeerbrewing will be there for every participant.
Well, I fortunately the route is ready, so I will probably ride it as an ITT this summer or, better, an ICT (Individual Cake Trial).
Best of luck to all participants out there from tomorrow, I will joyfully follow your dot! by @calamarocc

Stefano @calamarocc followed me a couple of weeks after I posted my first cycling animation on instagram. That was back in 2019.

He said he was a big fan of my animations. We exchanged messages.

Stefano then asked me to be a guest on his @Broomwagonpostcast. I politely declined. I have declined every podcast invitation I have ever received.

Since then we have exchanged many, many more messages.

Stefano sends nice voice notes. He has a lovely Italian accent.

A while ago Stefano brought out a range of zero percent beer - @zeerbrewing.

A few weeks ago I saw photos of Stefano on his new MONoPOLE @monopole.cc cargo bike. I knew I needed to animate him and the bike.

Stefano runs Zurich Cycling Movie Night. If I ever visit Zurich I will go to a screening. If you are ever in Zurich you should go.

Stefano has a big heart.

In a world full of despair, we need more people like Stefano.

This is not an advert for Stefano’s beer. This is an advert for Stefano. by @calamarocc

Premiere of "Züri Escape - Hautnah" by @cdubfilms.

For many, it was a deep dive into memories of past Züri Escape editions, and for others, a preview of what's coming next week.
Thank you, Christian and Martin, for taking us along on this journey. It is a beautiful film about your first-ever ultra endurance event, a story full of doubts, laughs, challenges, scenic views, shared struggles, and a happy ending at the finish line. Chapeau!

Thanks to ZURICH CYCLING MOVIE NIGHT by @calamarocc for organizing this, and to @hasenbart for the amazing location and for putting up with all our chaos.

Look down. The shoes match too.
This is what happens when a build is taken all the way: a custom No 01 for @zeerbrewing where the frame, fork, fenders and cable housing all answer to the same can. White and red, nothing left to chance — right down to what Stefano puts on his feet.
