Some of the world’s borders look completely unreal when you see them from the ground or from above. 🌍

The USA–Mexico border can separate open desert from densely populated neighbourhoods within metres, while other borders are divided by rivers, fences, walls, roads or even simple markers in the landscape.

Some are heavily controlled, like the Korean DMZ, while others are surprisingly peaceful. At the Austria–Hungary–Slovakia tripoint, you can stand beside a small marker where three countries meet. Norway and Finland are separated by little more than wilderness, while Argentina and Brazil meet around the enormous Iguazú Falls.

Then there are borders shaped by politics and conflict, including Israel and the Palestinian territories, where barriers and checkpoints form part of daily life for many people.

Which border surprised you the most?

Freddie Mercury was far more than one of the greatest frontmen in music history. He was a deeply creative, private and complex person whose confidence on stage contrasted with the way many people who knew him described him away from the spotlight. ❤️

Born Farrokh Bulsara in Zanzibar in 1946, Mercury spent part of his childhood in India before eventually moving with his family to England. His interest in music developed early, but it was his combination of songwriting, theatricality and extraordinary stage presence that would eventually make Queen one of the biggest bands in the world.

On stage, Freddie could command an entire stadium with seemingly effortless confidence. Away from performing, he was often described as quieter, more reserved and intensely protective of his personal life. Friends also remembered his sharp sense of humour, generosity and loyalty to the people closest to him.

He loved art, fashion, cats and entertaining friends, and he approached music with the same refusal to be ordinary. Songs including Bohemian Rhapsody, Somebody to Love, Don’t Stop Me Now and We Are the Champions helped show just how wide his creative range was.

More than three decades after his death, Freddie Mercury remains one of the most recognisable and influential performers ever. His voice mattered, but it was his personality, individuality and complete commitment to being himself that made him unforgettable.

What do you think made Freddie Mercury so special?

The mansion that became Tony Montana’s world in Scarface is now on the market for nearly $40 million. 🏡

Known as El Fureidis, the Montecito estate is one of the most recognisable homes connected to the film. Its dramatic architecture, terraces, gardens and ornate interiors helped create the larger-than-life setting associated with Tony Montana.

Originally built in 1906, the roughly 10-acre property blends Mediterranean Revival design with Roman and Middle Eastern influences, giving it a look that feels completely different from a typical California mansion.

The estate was purchased in 2015 for just over $12 million and is now being offered for close to $40 million, showing just how much history, location and Hollywood recognition can add to a property’s appeal.

Would you buy the Scarface mansion if money wasn’t an issue?

Somewhere along the way, everyday objects stopped being designed to stand out and started being designed to simply work. 🖤✨

Older baby carriages, furniture, signs, fireplaces, telephones and household objects were often covered in carved details, metalwork, colour and craftsmanship. Modern versions are usually cleaner, lighter and far more practical, but often much simpler visually.

There are obvious benefits to modern design: better safety, easier manufacturing, lower costs and more convenience. But vintage objects often had a sense of character that made even ordinary things feel special.

Maybe the question isn’t whether the past was better, but whether we traded some beauty for efficiency.

Which do you prefer: vintage design or modern minimalism?

In 1992, Robert Downey Jr. visited the New York Stock Exchange expecting to see the heart of global finance… but what he found left him completely shocked. 👀

As part of the documentary The Last Party, Downey stepped onto the iconic trading floor, where hundreds of brokers shouted orders, waved paper tickets, and competed in a deafening atmosphere. After only a few minutes inside, he walked out with one of his most memorable observations.

Looking at the chaos, he famously said, “If money is evil, then that building is hell.” Decades later, the clip resurfaced online and introduced a new generation to what Wall Street looked like before electronic trading transformed the industry.

Today, the loud open-outcry trading floors that once defined the NYSE have almost completely disappeared, replaced by computers and digital systems that execute trades in milliseconds.

Do you think Wall Street has changed for the better?

Anne Hathaway has been famous for more than two decades, yet fans still joke that she barely seems to age. 🤍

She first became a global star with The Princess Diaries in 2001, and since then has gone from romantic comedies to major blockbusters and award-winning performances. Side-by-side photos from different stages of her career regularly go viral because of how recognisable she still looks.

The “vampire” joke is obviously just internet humour, but her appearance has made her one of Hollywood’s most talked-about examples of seemingly ageless celebrities.

Do you think Anne Hathaway looks almost the same as she did 20 years ago?

Dating in the 1980s felt very different from dating today. ❤️

There were no dating apps, social media profiles, read receipts, or endless texting. Most teenage relationships started at school, through mutual friends, at parties, or simply by having the confidence to walk up and start talking to someone.

Phone calls meant ringing the family landline and hoping the right person answered. Handwritten notes, mixtapes, mall dates, roller rinks, cinemas, diners, school dances and meeting someone’s parents were all a normal part of teenage dating for many people.

It was slower, more personal, and there was far less pressure to constantly stay connected.

Would you rather date in the 1980s or today?

The different types of American neighborhoods can vary dramatically, reflecting differences in income, housing, lifestyle, and local communities. 🏡

From modest homes and older apartment blocks to spacious suburban neighborhoods and multi-million-dollar estates, every area offers a different way of living. While some communities prioritize affordability and practicality, others focus on larger homes, luxury amenities, and exclusive locations. Each neighborhood has its own character, shaped by local history, employment opportunities, cost of living, and the people who call it home.

It’s important to remember that these categories are broad generalizations rather than strict definitions. Every neighborhood is unique, and people from all backgrounds contribute to what makes their communities special. Factors like family, safety, schools, and opportunity often matter far more than the size or value of a home.

Which neighborhood do you think fits your lifestyle best?

Small daily habits can have a bigger impact on healthy aging than most people realize. 🌿

The way you age is influenced by the choices you make every day. Simple habits like getting enough sleep, eating a balanced diet, staying physically active, managing stress, protecting your skin from excessive sun exposure, and maintaining strong social connections can all support better health as the years go by. While aging is inevitable, your daily routine plays a major role in how well you feel and function over time.

Healthy aging isn’t about finding one miracle solution. It’s the result of small decisions repeated consistently. Drinking enough water, prioritizing protein and whole foods, exercising regularly, avoiding smoking, limiting excessive alcohol, keeping your mind active, and looking after your mental wellbeing all contribute to a healthier future.

The goal isn’t to stay young forever. It’s to stay stronger, healthier, and more independent for as long as possible. The habits you build today can make a meaningful difference years from now.

Which daily habit do you think has the biggest impact on healthy aging?
