Grand Rapids holds a new world record.

The world record for the most attended fashion show in the world was just broken during the ArtPrize 2026 awards celebration in Grand Rapids Michigan.

The fashion show hosted in collaboration with West Michigan designer RC Caylan brought together over 3,600 people - beating the previous record of 3,131 attendants at a fashion show in India.

I guess they’re calling us Art City USA for a reason… 👀

Is this the most unique ArtPrize venue this year? 🤔

Grand Rapids has changed a lot since the 50s.

And Swift Printing has seen it all.

Their shop reflects their long history: historical printing presses on wooden floors, with schoolbus-sized industrial printers in other rooms.

Yet even for a venue as old and decorated as Swift, Artprize remains a joyful celebration of art and a welcome event for bringing in new visitors to the business.

It’s impossible to capture the 216 feet of accordion boards that make up this piece in a simple video.

But when you see it – small sketches that take a full minute to walk past – you have no doubt that this is, in Kristin’s words, “absolutely everything I ate”.

This Miyazaki-esque piece is an example of the pure joy and whimsy that some artists bring to Artprize.
