I am blessed to announce my commitment to further my athletic and academic career at Augustana University. I want to thank my family, friends, and coaches for helping me reach this goal. I would also like to thank coach Huber and the rest of the Augustana coaching staff for giving me this opportunity. It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we let everyone know that my Dad, Dennis Suedbeck, passed away this last weekend, Saturday December 21st. After his long and valiant fight with Parkinson’s disease we will be celebrating his life next weekend. Visitation will be Friday January 3rd 4:00pm-8:00pm at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Monticello. Funeral will be Saturday January 4th 11:00am with visitation from 10:00am-11:00am, also at Resurrection Lutheran Church.

My dad was one of the greatest men I know. His strength and determination were beyond admirable. His excitement and love for life may have dwindled through the years as the Parkinson’s progressed, but his will to live stood sound until the end. I could not imagine a better father, and I feel unbelievably blessed to have called him mine. I know the rest of his family would agree, whatever he was called, Father, Husband, Papa, Brother, Son; he mastered them all and raised the bar to a level that cannot be matched. There aren’t a lot of words, but, thank you Dad, for everything. I love you. by @cale_holthaus
