Thank you, God.

Another summer at what feels like home—
a season defined by growth,
by wrestling for purity and truth
within a role that can easily become routine,
where faith can settle into stagnancy if we’re not careful.

This summer was a daily fight—
to become better, to grow closer to You.

Lord, You say the harvest is plentiful,
but the laborers are few.
I’m grateful for the people You placed alongside me—
fellow gardeners in Your field.
Together, we plowed the soil, watered the seeds,
and watched sanctification bloom in so many lives.

Jesus, You work so evidently here—
our worship rising like incense,
a fragrance full and ripe in the air.

I’m especially grateful for my program,
where we lay true biblical foundations in young hearts.
So when trials come—big or small—
even in simple things like hand motions,
they’ll cling to simple truths that lead to the ultimate truth: You, Jesus.
I pray that when adversity hits,
their foundations will stand firm,
and they’ll find comfort in You.

Serving here is a joy—
in ways both seen and unseen.
This role stretched me deeply—
and I’m still reflecting on what I’ve learned.

Above all, I know this:
Lord, You’ve set a fire within me—
a fire that burns for purity and vulnerability,
a fire that fights against complacency and stagnancy.

May I continue to grow in my relationship with You each day.
Though summer has ended,
I’m grateful to say I’m staying—
staying in this place that has become a place of real growth.

This place holds so much—
growth, rest, comfort, hardship—
and above all, Your presence, supremely near.

I’m so thankful for the summer of 2025—
man, it has changed my life.

Each morning, I wake to mercies new and sweet.
I remind myself of this, again and again.

Yet even in these mercies, I feel the weight of exhaustion—
a fresh bruise, another hour of lost sleep,
muscles aching from yesterday’s strain.

I pause, tempted to stay in bed,
to surrender to weariness.

But something deeper stirs:
there is no space in me for a slothful spirit.
My flesh may grow weaker each day,
but Jesus, thank You—
Your Spirit sustains me.

It is in Your Spirit I long to abide.
So when I open my eyes,
I glance to the bunk above me and read the same reminder:

“Praise Jesus, who has counted me worthy of a calling
that leaves me spent yet satisfied—
falling asleep and waking up tired,
with a heart set on abiding
and pursuing the advance of His kingdom.”

I may be tired,
but my soul dwells in the overflow.

Apart from Him, I have nothing to give;
