WE GOT THAT ROPE!

Firstly, congratulations to my friend and training partner @vance_walker_anw for taking down the tower again. What a great battle that was.

I had a lot of doubts and discouragement after being so far from beating the rope in season 15. Especially since we filmed these seasons back-to-back. I decided I would give every course the best I had despite how tired I was and the seemingly low chances of achieving total victory. @th3_oneand_only lent me a little 7 foot rope that i literally slept with during the later stages of S16 filming so I could practice my footwork. I took responsibility for my missing skills, and thankfully it paid off.

What a happy moment, to climb that rope, to feel that mental perseverance pay off. Even though I didn’t get the million, I still feel blessed to have these moments with my community. My wife and I prayed every day before going on to set. We continue to pray that God would be glorified through the skills and accomplishments he has blessed us with. I plan to keep doing this until my arms and legs give out. Hopefully in doing this I can leave a legacy of honor and perseverance that brings strength to others.

Every single day I understand a little bit better just how blessed I am to have such a wonderful wife. She is the most loving and uplifting person I know. Bogey lines out here,

Some are 1 inch and some are 40 degree

2nd place prelim speed round from @ninjasportnetwork finals this weekend.

This was a brutal weekend, coming off a two week long sickness my muscles were cramping during warmup and my core strength was toast somehow. I drank a gallon of water each day of the week leading up to the competition because I was too sick to train. I’ve competed sick before, but I think the duration of this sickness was a factor.

I’m still happy I went, happy I gave it my all. Being sick is an easy excuse because then nothing is your fault, but I know there’s plenty to work on coming into a new season of training.

Thank you God for the ability to run, jump, and move and for the awesome community around me. I’m thankful for my wife as always for cheering me on and giving so much to take care of the kids while I go compete. Thank you to my training crew for being there through this season. And a huge congratulations to my boy @asa_lache_sa for a huge performance this weekend 🥈absolutely smashed it.

And just like that, our baby boy is TWO 😭 Where has the time gone?? So much has happened from ages 1-2. I’ve loved watching you grow from a baby to a toddler. I’ve loved watching you learn how to do so many new things, but honestly, what I’ve loved most is seeing your personality really develop and seeing what a sweet, tender heart you have. You really are the sweetest, kindest boy. We love you so much Jay and are so grateful we get to be your parents 🤍 Happy Birthday sweet boy
