Still taking this one in.

My first @industrydanceawards win!!!

“United or Divided” took home Best Open at the Industry Dance Awards, and knowing this piece was selected as the winner among thousands of incredible works from across the nation and internationally makes this moment even more special.

First and foremost, THANK YOU to @studiocdancestl for continuing to trust me to come in as a guest choreographer and create. Every time we get together, we get to push boundaries, explore new ideas, and make something special. I’m so grateful for the relationship we’ve built and the opportunities to keep creating together.

To every dancer who brought this piece to life, THANK YOU. Your hard work, commitment, and willingness to fully dive into the vision are what made this possible. To my assistants and everyone who had a hand in bringing this piece together, I appreciate you more than you know.

And last but not least to @carlymlawrence thank you for always being my sounding board, helping me navigate my crazy ideas, reminding me to trust myself, and sometimes just giving me that little bit of validation I need to keep going. Couldn’t do this without you beautiful ❤️

I’ve always believed choreography is so much bigger than just putting steps together. It’s about creating something that makes people feel, think, and connect. To have that recognized on this level is something I’ll never take for granted.

Feeling incredibly grateful, humbled, and inspired to keep creating. This one means a lot. 🙏

KINFIGURE KINVENTION 2026: CROSSROADS ⚠️

This post is long overdue.
Since the first weekend of August, Carly and I have barely had a moment to slow down. We’ve been incredibly blessed to travel, create, choreograph, and pour into dancers across the country and beyond. People that have become our family away from family. It’s a blessing I’ll never take for granted.

But before another moment passes, this one deserves its flowers.

Crossroads meant more to me than most people will ever know. 2025 was one of the most difficult years of my life. Between physical and mental health battles and circumstances I never anticipated, there were moments I barely recognized myself. I was physically present, but often felt like a shell of myself

And somewhere in the middle of it all, Kinfigure still brought me back to my why all these years later.
Walking into 2026, my biggest prayer was simply to be present. To experience what we had worked so hard to build rather than just survive it.

And God gave me exactly that.

What people don’t always see are the sacrifices behind the lights, the music, and the moments. Over these past two years, Carly and I have carried more of this event on our shoulders than ever before. It’s been challenging, exhausting, and at times overwhelming. But the moment those ballroom doors open, every sacrifice becomes worth it.

This year, we celebrated our BIGGEST Kinvention to date. And while that milestone means the world, what means even more is knowing that our purpose has never changed. We didn’t create Kinfigure to simply become another convention. We created it to shift the paradigm. We want to continue pushing the boundaries of what a dance convention can be. To put the DANCE back at the forefront. To create spaces that remind people why they fell in love with this art form in the first place. To see the people who feel unseen.

To everyone who has ever supported THANK YOU. You are the reason we get to keep building, dreaming, and creating. by @calebbrauner

still thinking about this one.

a few weekends later, and somehow we’re still carrying so much from Crossroads with us.

the classes.
the conversations.
the breakthroughs.
the laughter.
the people.

every dancer, every parent, every family, every person who stepped into the KinFigure space helped make this weekend what it was.

this community does not exist without you.

you show up.
you trust us.
you bring your stories into the room.
and year after year, you continue to make KinFigure feel like something much bigger than an event.

we cannot thank you enough for another incredible weekend in the books.

and wherever the crossroads are in your own life right now, we hope something from our weekend together made the direction a little clearer.

to our incredible faculty, thank you for pouring so much of yourselves into this community and to our amazing staff, we seriously could not do these weekends without each and every one of you. thank you for everything you do behind the scenes to make the room possible.

S/O to our incredible media team for capturing this weekend so beautifully and giving us something we can come back to again and again.

Crossroads 2026.

another one for the books.
we love y’all.

@calebbrauner 2026 Choreographer’s Cup Finalist ✨ Caleb Brauner began his dance training at age four and transitioned to competitive dance by age six. During his competitive years, he was selected to represent the United States on the World Dance and Hip Hop team at the Dance Olympics in Germany. Following high school, Caleb pursued dance professionally, beginning his career as a performer and instructor at the Kansas City Ballet.
Originally from the Kansas City area, Caleb has been based in Los Angeles for many years and has become a highly sought-after choreographer and educator. He teaches at world-renowned studios, including Millennium Dance Complex and TMilly Studios, and travels extensively to set pieces for various studios and companies. Caleb’s television credits include seasons 10 and 11 of “So You Think You Can Dance” and season 7 of “American Horror Story.” He worked alongside Brian Friedman on the critically acclaimed “Mob the Musical” in Las Vegas and was a finalist for the 2020 Capezio A.C.E. Awards. He also was the assistant creative director and associate/contributing choreographer for 50 Cent’s Las Vegas residency, “In Da Club.”
His extensive resume includes associate choreography for the Billboard Music Awards, for artists such as John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Salt-N-Pepa,and more. He has choreographed music videos for K-Pop groups Sunmi and Red Velvet. Additionally, he has danced and choreographed for Nick Jonas, Rick Ross, and En Vogue and more. Caleb is also the co-founder of KinFigure—a convention, collective, and clothing line—where he and his fiancé, Carly Lawrence, mentor aspiring dancers of all ages. 💜 by @calebbrauner

One of my favorite parts of choreography is helping tell a story through movement.

Had the opportunity to choreograph this spot for the @calottery built around an Ahjussi character who finds a little spark of joy and lets it take over. Let some of my Kpop experience take over. We spent several days rehearsing and developing the movement language to find the right balance of character, humor, culture, and heart.

A huge thank you to Andrew for bringing so much life, trust, and authenticity to this role. Getting to collaborate with you throughout the process was a true pleasure. You’re an incredible workhorse and an even better human bro. It’s been a pleasure to get to know you.

Projects like this remind me that choreography isn’t always about the most advanced sequences of steps. Sometimes it’s about helping an audience feel something. It’s about finding movement that serves the story, reveals the character, and brings a moment to life.

Film, television, and commercial work continue to be some of my favorite spaces to create in, and I’m grateful for every artist and crew member who helped make this one happen.
