My new album Heavy Thrill releases June 5th! “The Ballad of Country Ham” is out now!Tickets on sale now for the Heavy Thrill Release Tour, as well as some support dates with the @old97s 🖤This is the first album I’ve ever produced by myself, but I couldn’t have done it alone. The album was recorded at @cash_cabin and it was engineered by Trey Call. Huge thanks to Jacquire King for mixing this album and Pete Lyman for mastering it.Thanks to Fred Eltringham, Phil Bronch, Carter Giegerich and Karl Zerfas for playing on it! Skillet Gilmore did the wonderful art! I’ll never master social media, because the truth is I don’t put time into it. I have very little bandwidth and when I do get a free moment I do my best to spend it creating, writing, picking or spending time with the people I love. With the birth of our son any day now I feel like I gotta say bye for a little while from here. If you wanna do something helpful, buy a copy of my new album Heavy Thrill or a ticket to an upcoming show! I will start playing shows again in late August around NC and beyond. It ain’t always what it looks like. I’m proud to have built this thing to a place where people all over the world are connecting with my songs and recordings. That’s all I ever wanted. A real “lifer.” My friend @calebcaudle Caleb has been steadily putting out beautiful records for the last decade plus, it keeps getting better. Been jammin his new album “Heavy Thrill” this morning, which you should also put your ears on. It’s my favorite thing he’s made.When my wife and I started dating we took a trip up to Nashville together. I think Caleb was on the road so he let us crash at his place. It was a perfect, comfy, buddy version of an Airbnb. The first time I told my wife I loved her was in that house. Thankful for good and talented friends, especially the ones that let you crash at their place. by @calebcaudle
