Hey Google what's type 2 fun?

First Ironman 70.3 in the books! Muskoka is not a forgiving course but had a blast racing.

Swim went better than expected which started the race with good vibes. Hills on the bike and run were no joke and straight sun did zero favours. Ice at aid stations on the run were god sends 🙏🏾

5yrs ago did the duathlon version of Muskoka 70.3 after COVID on a $500 marketplace aluminum flat pedal bike and not fully understanding race fueling and hydration compared to be dialed in with training, equipment and nutrition made a huge difference. Still painful but not as bad and significantly less time lol

More 70.3s to come in the future

Race for the love of the sport, the community and all the people you meet along the way. Never was about chasing podiums but those coffee rides and seeing familiar faces on the course and in transition is what keeps bringing me back and motivated.

Wasaga Beach Sprint Triathlon was the final race of the season.

Didn't go exactly as planned but that's racing for you. Hydration was great in the swim swallowing about 2L of Georgian Bay water during the swim 🤣 after the rough swim start had a decent bike which salvaged the race. Back got tight first km into the run so couldn't get into my pace.

All things considered still managed to finish 7th in my age group. Better swim and run next time and we will be laughing.

Not the best race but was still fun getting out there and racing. Was a beautiful day for racing. Luckily for the sprint water wasn't too choppy.

Nice seeing familiar faces in transition and some of my friends completing their first triathlon to cap off the season.

Already looking forward to racing again next season.

Barrie sprint

Best bike leg so far this season. Run could have been faster but great weather for race day.

10th in age group (30-39)

One final race of the season left at Wasaga Beach
