The Houston Pedestrian Network is the largest network of tunnels like it in America…this one is a lot more fun to visit than Dallas’ because there are people still using it lol, there’s tonnns of places to eat and get coffee and just hang out, lowkey if you’re visiting downtown Houston this is the spot to escape the heat and bop between buildings,, if anyone knows of secret tunnels entrances let me know so I can go explore 👀 #houston #history #texas #mystery #visithouston taken in Houston, Texas by @calebcomplains

It makes me sad that Austin is labeled as such a white city because POC residents have such a rich history here. But whether it be the hatred from individual residents to the city planners itself slowly our non-white population and their history has been pushed out of Austin. @n_americancryptidmuseum it’s definitely one of the creepiest museums and all of Texas, it’s located in Dallas and even connected to a haunted house. Since they have access to the haunted houses creative and costume team that means almost everything in here is completely made by hand and in house.. which also means that since the quality is so good the creatures are extra creepy.. if you’re in the Dallas-Fort Worth area looking for something spooky or to do for the Halloween season you should definitely come check this place out #dallas #dfw #halloween #scary #texas taken in Dallas, Texas by @calebcomplains

@mitsuwa_plano in Dallas is the largest Japanese market in Texas, they have so much inside, of course all the snacks and food you could want, but also a Kinokuniya, Toy Capsule store, one piece trading card store, and a whole ass cafeteria.. @joseyrecords in Dallas, Texas is the largest record store in America and maybe even the world. It’s 25,000 sq ft and since I’m not about to bust out a tape measure I’ll believe them on that one, but with that size it makes them the largest.. they have every genre you can think of and pretty fair pricing I’m not crazy into records so I really loved the vintage clothes in the very back they actually had some really good stuff, if you live in Dallas or really anywhere in Texas Texas you should come check this place out especially if you’re interested in vinyl, music, records, physical media, etc etc.. #dallas #texas #vinyl #music #dfw taken in Dallas, Texas by @calebcomplains

If you’re going to ACL @amysicecreams should be at the top of your list to try, especially if you’re just visiting.. Amy’s is an old Austin staple and is such an amazing company (Amy is woke trusttt LOL), they have Lola ice cream bars for sale in the little carts being pushed around and the full ice cream set up at the Sweets section of the festival, so if you’re visiting Austin for ACL I better see you with some ice cream in hand!! #austin #acl #texas #icecream #atx taken in Austin, Texas by @calebcomplains

@awsfzoo if you’ve driven on I 35 between San Antonio and Austin you’ve definitely wondered what this “Snake Farm” place was, I finally went inside and investigated for us all… today it is an accredited zoo but it has decades of mystery and lore about it.. there’s a famous country song about it, the ramone’s wore its merch, and supposedly there was even a secret brothel in the very back,, today the excitement you get there is very different there’s a petting zoo, tons of snakes, exotic animals, and for some extra coin you can even hold a giant snake .. if you live in Austin, San Antonio, or really just central Texas you should watch this so you finally know what this place looks like inside, also if you are in Central Texas looking for something fun to do then this place offers a ton of history and things to look at but ngl Zoos still kind of make me sad #austin #sanantonio #texas #snake #history taken in New Braunfels, Texas by @calebcomplains

@thejerseybarnyard in La Grange, Texas hosts one of the coolest things I’ve done on my tour of Texas, for $14 they give you a guided tour around their regenerative farm which means you can feed and hold goats, bottle feed a calf, and learn how to milk a cow. You also get to tour their milk pump rooms, they also have a giant pumpkin patch inside where you can buy pumpkins, and they also have a small gift shop with goats milk popsicles and tons of other stuff. @newmanscastle in Bellville, Texas,📍1041 Old Highway 36, is one of the coolest and most unique road side attractions I’ve been to in Texas. It’s an entire castle built by a former baker and it’s pretty cheap to go visit and play around in, if you live in Austin or Houston or especially if you’re planning to travel between the two you should definitely check this place out!
