A Birthday Ritual Long ago, there was a Holy War that split Hacimland into two worlds; sunshine and rainbows by day and something dark and sinister at night…Once every year, on June 2nd, when the full moon and lands perfectly in the center of the Holy Crux constellation the moon turns a murky-swamp green and the demented fairies that were sealed away in the 4 stars materialize in for just 5 minutes to take over the world of Hacimland at night.The fairies perform a special birthday ritual with hostages, wide smiles and bustling laughs. What may seem random and erratic to the naked eye, are precise and methodical movements said to praise their god for all he’s achieved in the previous year and allowing them the mercy to come out again. As this ritual is being performed, a descendant of the knights who sealed them away in the stars appears to rescue the merchants from their grasp and is quickly shaken with fear. He was able to fend them off for as long as necessary waiting for their souls to be sucked back up into the stars. How far would you go to save your princess? This project is the first installment into the world of Hacimland. This is a fantastic land filled to the brim with goblins, knights, maidens, and fairies. During the day it is a beautiful dreamscape filled with beautiful beings and cheerful times. The mood is always light, carefree and joyous where there is always some celebration or festival happening and there is coexisting between all of the beings who inhabit the land even though sometimes there are some mischievous groups who like to run amuck and start trouble with pranks, theft or kidnapping princesses but never fear when danger strikes a knight in shining armor is always there to protect the princess. Sir Josh of the sword is the sworn protector of the land, none seem to know his age as he has been the protector of the land for as long as all have known. Year 27 feels like such a delicate but sharp year. Leaning into both my feminine and masculine energy. I feel a sort of defensiveness surrounding my tenderness that I can only describe as a sort of teenage angst lol. Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about this β€œsecond puberty” we go through in our late 20’s and as I’ve approached this new year I feel like such a teenager again at times. So let’s say year 27 is for healing teenage JANÍ. I pray this new year brings so much abundance and peace into my life. I pray for continued community with my family and friends and being of service to those in need. I pray to become the woman I’m designed to be. Loving on myself deeply this year.
