We chase meaning at the finish line, but it is never waiting there.

if you aren’t burning to get there…

I had one of those naps that when you wake up you not only have forgotten who you are but even where you are. The jet lag doesn’t help. It was around 4:30 pm Eastern European Summer time. Woke up to the sound of bells from the vendor down the road from my bed and breakfast. The sounds being me back to reality.Ahh I’m still in paradise. The nightmares fade. The first thing u notice is the smell of the ocean the Mediterranean Salt air and the cool afternoon breeze making its way in through the window. I get dressed and make the leisure 2 mile walk to the coast taking in every sight and sound, from a group of kids playing soccer (who i got to play with the day before) to vendors yelling at me in broken English. I Slip into our favorite restaurant on the island and I’m fashionably late per usual. Everyone’s started on apps already. Dinner in the OIA is not just an experience. It’s an all out event. The people on the island love their food. Moussaka is the move (spicy lamb layered with tomatoes and basil sauce over a bed of dirty rice with some of the richest eggplant I’ve ever tasted. Bechamel sauce. I have to learn how to make that. After dinner and local live music (tamborines and pipes and strings) we made our way to the top of the OIA. Scouted out this ideal sunset spot the day before. Rented out some nice gear to capture some of my trip. Note to self “the Sony a1 is the way”. Still learning about photography and light room but having views as beautiful as these makes an amateur like me look good. Enjoyed a classic Texan stogie (Romeo and Juliet) as the ball of fire we call the sun burned it’s way down to the end of its fuse. We got to all chat until the stars came out. Naps,walks,food, music, sunsets and deep conversation. Not much more I can ask for in life. This whole year has been one of the busiest in my life. Non stop. But this evening everything stopped just for a moment. It was simply refreshing. My soul needed this. taken in Oía, Kikladhes, Greece by @calebnimmons

Officially over 500 love stories documented, all over the world 🌎

The truth is, we were never counting weddings. We were counting first looks, handwritten vows, and quiet moments nobody else noticed.

Chickens Corner Trail is a 60 mile round trip endeavor that takes you over 2 canyons including Hurrah’s Pass. Riding down ledges inches from the canyon drop made for adrenaline rushes next to none.
